I get this isn't typically an SBR upper but, I'm looking for a ~13.9" barreled upper or possibly some other length to go on a non-NFA lower versus a 14.5" on my SBR lower.  While I'm not looking for a pencil barrel profile, I want something lightweight with a lightweight rail as well (I'm not running a bunch of heavy rail accessories so, huge strength isn't a requirement as long as it doesn't flex under 'normal' loads and use).

I'm looking for quality so, Triarc, SOLO, KAC, Noveske, etc. are all options.  I could be convinced to do a 14.5" KAC SR-15 rifle but, I really want to stay out of the NFA with this one without being overly long as this will be a ~200 yard and less rifle.

Well a ASR flashhider on a Colt SOCOM 14.5 will give just over 16” on the longest tine.
