Eternity is coming for us all. It cannot be denied, debated or avoided.
We would do well to ponder how we're going to spend that eternity, because eternity is a long time to be wrong.

For that price it would be nice to see a better pic of the product |

Or is it just a guess and check thing to insert 7 shells and make sure the last one has a little wiggle room? Also, I'm seeing multiple options for a replacement follower. Necessary or no? I'll likely grab the pro lifter too. |

I'll likely grab the pro lifter too. Trim the spring to allow you to have a little bit of shell movement. Keep in mind that the length of a shell refers to the length of the shell when it's fully open, not necessarily the length of a loaded shell. Shells vary in loaded length so with shells that have say a roll crimp instead of a star crimp you may not be able to get the advertised capacity inside the magazine. If you can fit the full advertised capacity you may not have any room left in the magazine. Usually, though, with good ammunition you have at least a tiny bit of room in the magazine. A test I usually use is whether or not there's sufficient play in the loaded shells to allow me to easily move the shell stop out of the way and unload the magazine tube one shell at a time. If I have to really try hard to move the shell stop, I'll trim more of the magazine spring. |

The only one I haven't seen cause a problem is the Aridus, but I know how many revisions they went through to try and get a follower that worked right in the Beretta shotguns. (I know because I have a bunch of prototypes that still exhibited problems that they scrapped and redesigned the part) |

Put a light on it and took it out for the first run. 50 rounds, mix of field loads and #4 buck. Ran flawlessly. Didn't notice any real recoil so gonna grab some 00 for next time Attached File |

Got mine yesterday. Not sure the red dot will stay on, but threw it on for funsies. Pro lifter and upgraded magazine spring will be in tomorrow. (I'm a little annoyed that you have to immediately swap the mag spring in a brand new $900 shotgun, but oh well.) I'll be adding a light setup of some sort, and likely replacing the mag tube extension cover and barrel clamp with Nordic aluminum offerings. I have a variety of loads to test whenever I get the chance to get out. One thing I'll note, I was surprised how light weight the thing is. Deceptively light compared to appearance, but maybe I'm just used to wood stocked field guns. For it's purpose, that's a good thing, though. Attached File |

I am putting a single cell'd Inforce on that other shotty. On my A300UP I put a HS 503G (a T2 clone). Has a tiny little chevron with a semi-circle. On a Skalarworks mount. Had to remove the factory Beretta plastic rear sight for the Skalar mount, which I preferred. Really like the optic but kinda small. I splurged and got a new SFDF Turbo (single cell) with a Unity hot button. |

If you're using the stock rail, how's the cheekweld with the 510? |

Not using a 510 but got a new AEMS instead, which is for a different semi shotty. AEMS is a 1/3 cowitness (in the AR world) but HS makes an inexpensive co-witness mount for it too. Should work great with the lower mount The 510 sells new with cowitness, so the cheek weld should be good for an A300UP. Maybe slightly heads up. I passed on the 510 to get a closed emitter, otherwise the 510 was my plan. |

The 510C mounts directly on a picatinny rail of any shotgun or AR, etc. It's a cowitness height (height of the dot is about 1.4" above the rail. 1/3 cowitness height about 1.6" above the rail, iirc). I'm referring to AR type cowitness, only for a reference to the height of the dot above the rail. I did not mount a 510C on my A300UP. I mounted a HS 503G (ACSS reticle) which is an Aimpoint Micro T2 clone. The Skalarworks Sync 2 mount requires removal of the rail and the plastic rear sight. Places the optic lower for the cheekweld you seem to be after. This brand and other brands do the same thing for other optics. You have to decide what optic and also which mount is available for your optic. Or just get a rail mounted optic like a 510C or HS AEMS. https://www.primaryarms.com/holosun-paralow-hs503g-red-dot-sight-acss-reticle (the HS mount/riser is replaced with the Skalarworks Sync 02) Select Aimpoint Micro T2 in the dropdown window Those two links result in an actual cowitness on my A300UP (Not sure what the height above rail is). That's with the front sight because the rear sight is removed with Sync 02, for an AP Micro or clone. But the Beretta front sight dot sits right on top of the little HS chevron. |

I'll shoot it this weekend. As long as everything works well I'll start upgrading it. I still need to decide on a optic, base & light. I've already ordered a Noveske flush QD mount. What I don't like.. The bolt is very hard to pull back when the hammer is up. I think I remember my A300 20ga being the same way before I put a few boxes of shells through it. It is harder than any of my other auto shotguns. And the barrel clamp and end cap. Holy crap I don't think they could be any worse. I kind of passed through the comments from guys saying to upgrade to aluminum. But they're correct, I think it's necessary. Other than those few drawbacks it looks like it'll be great. It's my 5th Beretta so I'm already very familiar with them. Every one I own has been pretty stellar. |

Finally got mine out to the range. Been awhile since I used a semiautomatic 12ga, kicked more than I remember. I shot a few turkey loads, ‘bout dislocated my shoulder, lol, not really, but it was rough. I’m a small guy. I need a better choke for turkey @ 30yds. Any recommendations? |

| My Wolff mag spring came in yesterday so I finally got to get it out. I put around 200 rounds through it. It ate everything from 3" buckshot to my light trap handloads. This thing is going to be a gem. Now to start on a few upgrades. |

Originally Posted By Norinco982lover: Question, do you guys thing the magazine tube clamp is necessary? Just remembered mine is missing it since I bought it used off the forum ![]() It isn’t. You can use the shotgun fine without the clamp. The clamp was added to give you a sling point and another additional mlok slot but really the clamps suck if you add any sort of weight to them, they will slide forward with recoil. With the MLOK on the handguard, the clamp isn’t needed at all. There are a few people over on PF that have been using the 1301 for years without a clamp and that is with the two piece magtube. The A300 is a single piece tube that weighs less than the two piece tube with the Nordic aluminum extension and collar. |
| I replaced the mag tube spring with an upgraded one and trimmed it per the instructions. I can still only get 6 roll-crimped 2-3/4" shells in. While not a big deal, I saw a video where a guy removed the little plastic retainer/cap off the end of the spring and was able to fit 7 shells. Anyone try this? It seems like a kinda half-assed mod to me, but I was wondering if it's been done successfully by anyone here in that configuration. |
