FEDEX delivered mine to my LGS yesterday. Headed to go get it after work. I still haven’t decided on optic. I don’t have much expierence with red dots. I’ll probably wait until next month to fully trick it out as I’m trying to buy a few more guns before the election. |

5 rounds of LE13300 at 25 yards. Shotgun is zeroed with LEB127LRS slugs, also at 25 yards. Frankly, LE13200 looks basically the same as this across 5 rounds, aside from the additional 5 holes. Attached File Seems acceptable to me. Not quite as tight as I’d have hoped for, but frankly it’s probably better this way at 25. |

| So I got a few rounds through mine last Sunday. Overall I was impressed. This is replacing my VersMax Tactical as my 3-gun/HD shotgun. Overal I was impressed by the fit and finish. The gun ate my favorite target loads without a hiccup. My old eyes liked the ghost ring sights. The only downside was the recoil was a bit more stout than the VersaMax, but I expected that to be the case due to the differences in operating system, |

So after going back and forth on which one to get, and a buddy who has both the a300 UP and the 1301 Mod2 left me run a few hundred rounds thru his guns, I finally joined the club last week… I keep hearing that the 1301 is a step up from the a300, and on paper I agree. But after having the chance to run almost a case of 00 thru each I think I’d argue it’s more of a lateral step than a forward one. That said, I have a couple questions for those who have had their a300 longer… 1) I’ve noticed my trigger pin is walking a bit. Not enough that it’s in danger of being an issue, but it is moving. Anyone else have this issue and is there a fix for it? 2) I have a Holosun 507 sitting around that I think I’m gonna put on it the gun. I’d like to replace the optic rail with a dedicated plate to get it as low as possible. I’ve noticed there are multiple companies now offering such plates. Is there a go to or a specific one that people recommend over others? |
| Saw a 1301 in gray at a LGS last week, price was $1799 before tax. I checked half a dozen other LGS and they're all the same. makes me wish I bought one when they were cheaper. I could probably get the A300 for just over $1000. I can afford the 1301 but I don't know if it merits a $700 difference. I could but a lot of 12 gauge with $700. |

Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Well I got mine all set up, 1301 pro lifter, Holosun 507K, Armadyne optic plate, GG&G metal extension tube with clamp, streamlight, Wolf extended spring, and a bunch of Esstac Velcro shell holders. It shoots great, I’ve been buying Federal Flight control for a few years when it was cheap. Wish I woulda bought more lol -Clint |

I had my new A300UP out to the range yesterday for the first time. I started with about 100 trap loads, then about 25 rounds of 00 buck. The recoil was noticeable with the 00. Then I shot 10 of the Bernakke slugs and holy crap the recoil was ridiculous. I came home and ordered a Limbsaver lol. The gun functioned 100%. I took it apart and cleaned it and I had a hard time putting it back together. There definitely is a sequence that must be followed for reassembly. I wanted the 1301 but settled for the 300 but it seems like a good value. |
I took mine out yesterday along with another recent purchase, I split 100 rounds of trap loads between them. It kicked harder than I would expect and the gas system ran surprisingly dirty. I’ve got some eBay snap caps on the way to practice with the pro lifter. Overall I like it, I’m afraid if I tried a 1301 I’d buy one of those too. ![]() Attached File |

Is there a go to or a specific one that people recommend over others? The trigger pin is retained by a small circular clip on the right side that is part of the lifter assembly. The clip can easily be removed and hand pinched to obtain a better grip on the retaining pin. Go ahead and order the Pro Shell Lifter since removing the clip is part of swapping the original A300 lifter for the better Pro lifter. Easy stuff. IMO the most obvious advantage for the 1301 is you can swap the stock/handguard for a Magpul if you need to really tweak the LOP or you gotta have the Gucci furniture. That, and Aridas makes some sweet stuff for the 1301 (charging handle/bolt release lever). Their bolt release lever fits the A300UP, but NOT their charging handle. GGG et al are available for A300UP though. |

Yeah and this looks like it either has user setup recoil lugs or no recoil lugs. If I didn't get a CROM I'd get the Scalarworks mount. It looks like it comes with lugs that the user positions based on their optic choice. The problem I see with that is since the lugs aren’t fixed to the mount, they have to have some play in them in order to be removable/replaceable so there is still going to be some sheer forces exerted on screws holding the optic in place. With the recoil of a shotgun being what it is, I’d imagine any serious heavy use is eventually going to cause those screws to fail. I’m sure it will be fine for the causal user that might only fire 500 or so shells through their guns lifetime. That really probably covers 80% plus of users though. At $80 on sale or $90 when it is off sale, there are way better and proven options. The Reptila mounts are only about $20 more. The GG&G mount, despite the use of some softer screws being used, is still a decent choice and is half the price of this mount. The Farrow Tech mount is roughly the same price as this SI mount and I know of a lot of people using the Farrow mount and running their guns really hard. The Farrow Tech mount is solid. All that said, another option is still welcome. The more after market support the better. Something else I just thought about. SI makes a handguard for the M4, I wonder if they are planning on something for the A300/1301. That would be intresting to see. They also offer a mag clamp for the A300/1301 too. |

Especially with the a300’s superior loading port. That said I’m sure future generations of the 1300 will get the same loading port, and at that point I think any debate about the 1300 being superior will be laid to rest. |

Where the 1301 edges the A300 is when it is cold and wet and dirty, the rotating bolt and self adjusting gas system goes a long way to ensuring reliability. Those situations though are few and far in between so for 98% of users, the A300 is on par with the 1301. The lack of an enlarged loading port on the 1301 Tactical is a miss that hopefully Beretta sorts out soon. |

Loading port and I prefer the A300 sights, so I got the A300. I’ve hunted in all kinds of weather and temperatures with a pump or cheap tri star auto loader and not had failures induced by the environment. Is the 1301 system “better”, for me probably not, but I’ve also not fired the 1301. |
