Buddy of mine dropped off a gas block with a gas tube pinned into it. The pin is badly mushroomed and is pretty much fubar, locking the tube in place. Anyone have a trick to getting this out? If I had a drill press, I think I could do it, but after a bit of work and no drill press - I'm pretty stumped. Just chalk it up to being a really secure tube?

1/16 punch from the opposite side.

For pins that are solidly stuck I often drill a small dimple in the center of the pin and then use a roll pin punch with a small hemisphere to hold the punch centered up reliably.

Then just go up in hammer weight with a solid fixture.

Grind off the mushroomed part and then do this.  ^^^
First smack with the hammer should be like you mean it, no love taps.
