I've owned this S&W S.W.A.T. MBS for almost a decade now and unless I'm somewhere a pocket knife is frowned upon it's in my pocket. The finish has held up surprisingly well for what I put it through.

I wanna see the beloved yet beaten EDC knives that you guys can't find it in your heart to replace with a younger prettier model.

My beater S&W.  General use nothing fancy.  It’s been used regularly and held up well for the money.
And my cheap lawn mowing beer drinking on the beach hat.

Even though I just replaced my S&W with a Benchmade Mini Griptilian I'm honestly surprised with how well they hold up over time for the price.

I bought the top Spiderco in 1988 with money left over from prom. I think it was $80.00.
Carried it for the next 5 years while in the US Navy Seabees. Broke the tip. Turned it into a screwdriver.
I've easily carried that knife for 20 years. Then came across this Wayne Goddard Spiderco for $15.00.
That was maybe 5 years ago.
And here we are today.
Yes, some people call me cheap but I'm just old school (middlefingeremoji)

Keepin it alive.

Not EDC now but my first sheath knife at about age 10 is this old West Cut.
Dog chewed the sheath on a horse ride n camp out so my Dad whipped up the leather sheath that evening.
He said he’d make a nicer one later but I liked it the way it is.
I wore it every day all the time I could.  Stories attached to it.  Amazed I didn’t lose it.
The older stag handle was his.  Not sure the make.

Kitteh approved.

@survivor45 you should check the prices on those goddard spydercos. I carried one for years and own 2 of them. One new in the box.

I know they were/are somewhat collectible. It had been carried a fare amount when I got it.
And the left side washer for the pivot pin was missing. I popped in another one and carefully pend it over.
Are you suggesting I stop carrying it ?  Because of the collectible value.

Benchmade 9050 I've had for I think 16 years. Been carried daily that entire time. Used at work in Fire/EMS and law enforcement. Also used for daily tasks around the house, etc.  I'd cry if I lost this one.  I also use an Izula regularly that has some pretty good wear on it
