I just bought the full size w/ the shield red dot and as soon as I ordered it I regretted not getting the K version. Tried to get Atlantic to change my order but it was a no go. So now I'm thinking about just saying fuck it and ordering the K too. With the rebates I think this is the best deal I've seen in a while. I don't really see how I can go wrong. But at the same time I do have other stuff I want to buy and builds to complete. I'm usually super frugal and obsess over these purchases like I'm doing now. But as soon as I heard about these I couldn't order fast enough. It's actually the most expensive firearm I've ever purchased and by a long shot lol.

Id probably pick it up if you dont see yourself spending more on an HK….firearms arent getting cheaper…
I took advantage of the rebate. Bought a AP5-P.
Hard to imagine it will be lower. I did for a split second think about the AP5-M, as you did. but didn't do it, yet.. |
FO
I did the same even before the rebate. I was lucky to get in on the rebate. No regrets |
I’m seriously thinking about it. I bought a PTR-9ct in 2018 and like it. Then last year I finally got the SP-5. So I was thinking of selling the PTR to get a K. Now that they have the rebate, I think I’m going to get one and sell the PTR to fund it.
I’m like most, I don’t see firearms getting cheaper any time soon. |
They seem to be a great clone at a great price. I bought a k a week or two ago and I may pop on a full size as well, I'm thinking if I ever get a full size, I may never get a better deal than this.
Going to sbr both as well. |
ill buy one as soon as I decide between the full size or the K.
The full size is more iconic. The K is more practical.
Im thinking Ill get the 22lr for the full size larping and the the real deal SP5P for my K. |

Sorry for the newb questions here.
What is the mag situation like for these guns? Are the $70’ish dollar 30rnd ones the only option? Could that AP5-P host a 1/2-28 suppressor without modification? ETA: I see it has a 1/2-28 threaded barrel just after the 3-lug. Awesome. Still trying to decide on the new Scorpion micro or one of these bad ass units. The price difference is close enough now to be negligible. Thanks. |
Not sure about the mag prices. I already have a real H&K Mp5 and a ton of mags. For me a Mp5K at under $1500 is killer.
Battlehawk has the standard Ap5 for $1598 before the $200 rebate. Killer deal. Attached File |
I hear ya.
By the time I got into a micro scorpion I would be within a couple hundred bucks of that. I’ve always wanted an MP5. Hmmm. |
It looks like battle hawk includes one less magazine than Atlantic does for about the same price. Atlantic just went out of stock though.....

I have the ap5 p w/ sbt brace on the way. I'll report if it comes with 2 mags and all the accessories. I also ordered the new sbt g2 brace to swap onto it. I'll post pictures since I haven't seen that combo posted yet.

Guys…. I have the “Century AP5-P with SB Brace and Shield SMS2 Optic” added to my cart on AtlanticFirearms. $1,820.99 ($1,620.99 after rebate) and $30 shipping.
ETA: Also added a 2 pack of 30 round MKE mags to go with the couple that come with the gun for an additional $118 because FJB. Should I fo??? |
I bought the AP5-P last week without the brace or optic, but added two 2-packs of the MKE mags (6 in total), received it from my FFL yesterday and submitted my rebate form today along with the eForm submission for SBR'ing it.
Also bought the proper vertical foregrip handguard and a Choate folding stock. Yes, buy it. |
Order is done.
I ended up with (2) 2 packs of mags. Total of 6. |

@BWood How much is shipping at BH ?
I am looking at A.F. for the AP5-P, 2 mags incl w/brace added for $1765 shipped vs B.H. for the AP5-P w/brace,1 mag incl for $1639 plus shipping. If I guesstimate $30 S+H makes it $1669 The $96 difference for an additional mag, sling, cleaning kit, optic mount and hard case makes the A.F. a more attractive deal at $1565 after rebate to me. No freeloading, so here are OEM HK 30 rounders for $80 |
If anyone is interested KAC-MP5-Navy-suppressor possible group buy [fingers crossed] you can get on the list.

Mine arrived from BH today. $1665 shipped. Came with 2 mags.
Total after rebate = $1465 Attached File |

Mine should be here tomorrow. I ordered four extra magazines. I'm waiting to order the stock, I haven't made my mind up on which one I want.

This is the one with the brace. $1640 before shipping and before the rebate.

Submitted my rebate form today for the $200 off. Giving serious thought to buying another. At $1465 after rebate hard to go wrong. I have a real H&K Mp-5. The MKE Ap-5 is awesome

If you don't want the braces, the camo versions can be found for $1530 before rebate.

I was at my local gun store yesterday doing paperwork for a 15-22 I also just bought and told them about the AP5-P that’s on its way there. They were all excited and the owner is thinking about snagging one too. They have all sorts of MP5 mags there including HK ones, MKE, and one other make. I grabbed a couple more MKE mags so now I will have 8. |

Quoted: My AP5-P came in today. All is good, and the pistol looked flawless. However, the oil bottle inside the cleaning kit exploded and got EVERYWHERE. It’s a good thing these guns like to run wet! Could be worse I guess. https://i.imgur.com/AFC6eVM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PFP8XXc.jpg View Quote Sweet and congrats! |

I ordered an AP5-P from Atlantic this afternoon. Gonna be neat to have the smaller brother to my MKE.

Thanks a lot guys. I'm picking my AP5-P up tomorrow.
Also ordered 4 additional MKE mags from gunmagwarehouse for $223.95. |

Where oh where is my Omega 9K? Currently in batf jail. My 3 lug adaptor is lonely! Attached File

Regarding the OP, I have both SBRs and truly dislike the k. Useless for anything but Instagram.
I may end up getting another full size though. The first one showed up looking great and the pricing is difficult to beat. Also, keep in mind they only give one rebate per household/residence, iirc. |
Having a hard time deciding between the AP5 and AP5-P. Can any help decide? I already have larger size AR15 which is why I was leaning towards the ap5-p. What does everyone think of the Sms optic? Also, ap5 over scorpion and stribog? What is long term value of having a clone? Thanks!
I have the AP5 and AP5P. Hard to say which one I would keep if I could only have one. I hit better with the full size of course. They are both reliable and I like the both better than my Scorpion micro and sold my Stribog.

I have the PTR 9KT, as the AP5’s weren’t even in country when I bought mine. Other than a failure to feed on the second round in the first mag I ran through it, no issues whatsoever. I ditched the Stribog after seeing all the problems they were having with wear, and ammo. |
Thanks for sharing. How about AP5 vs AP5-P as far as size? And how’s the Sms shield optics?

Picked up mine today, the full size AP5. got home later and realized the SB brace sent as part of the package deal was the wrong one. I didn’t know to check but now know there are different SB braces for the full vs smaller sized pistols. Hopefully the swap goes well.

Ordered an AP5 Saturday and it shipped today. Can’t wait to get my grubby paws on it!
Ordered an AP5-P + brace today from Atlantic before they went out of stock again. Can’t wait. Going to get an 80 degree locking piece coming as well. Can’t wait!

View Quote What about the K bothers you so much? I have the SP5L, and have been considering picking up another roller 9mm. Just can't decide on an AP5, AP5-P, or standard SP5. I live a short drive from a sportsman's warehouse, where the HK pops up for MSRP pretty often, but the rebate and bundle deals make the Turkish guns VERY tempting. |
