I see Pyramyd is already showing the new Texan carbine, the Umarex Hammer, and the new Gamo big bores online for pre-order, with the Gamo-Winchester guns already in stock.   I'm curious if anyone is thinking about buying any of these.   I'm naturally hesitant about the Hammer, Umarex doesn't have the best reputation, but the new Gamo guns (Evanix clones) look nice and the prices are decent.   Thoughts?

The only interest I would have in a big bore airgun is something that would be competitive in the Extreme Benchrest competition where one starts shooting at the SR-1 (100 yd reduced highpower target) at 200 yds.  I don't see any of these (at this time) being off the shelf ready for this particular game.

Agreed.  I've always had an interest in the RAW and Daystate guns in the larger calibers just for that reason, I'm more about accuracy at range then power.   That said, apparently the big bore boom is on us, so I'm curious if any out there is going to buy one of the new generation of guns coming out now.   Me, I'm holding out for the Kalbrgun Capybara in .22 or one of the new Semi Evanix guns, just waiting for them to actually appear and get wrung out.
