It was either on here or GD but someone tested using equipment chamber pressure and as the chamber was polished too much it actually increased pressure?

Or do I have it backwards?

If polishing improved case to wall seal, then yes, I believe it.

I believe it increases bolt thrust , not chamber pressures. Too slick a chamber does not let the case grip the wall when fired.

Guns are designed as if the brass does nothing in terms of gripping the chamber walls.
