Looking at a L swimmers cut SPC and large shooters cut 3810s. Anybody have this setup? I've been reading that the L hesco shooter plates actually fit medium SAPI carriers. Are they going to be sloppy in a L swimmer carrier?

A swimmers cut L is smaller than a medium SAPI and will be sloppy as fuck in a large SAPI carrier. Just tried it for you. It’s no good.

10-4. How about a swimmer L carrier with the shooter cut L plates?

Close enough.

I think it will fit fine. I have 4401 plates in a medium swimmer cut spc and it’s super tight. I have not tried to put my 3810 in there, but I think they would be even harder due to the thickness. I do not think you would any slop in a large swimmer cut spc.

Wait I read this backwards. Large SAPI won’t fit at all in large swimmer pocket.

There may be about a half inch of bottom slop in a SAPI medium carrier, since SAPI medium is 9.5" x 12.5".

Sizing standard for official SOCOM-spec swimmers cut plates (not whatever other companies use "swimmers cut" to refer to), is that a swimmers cut medium is 9.92" x 11.6", and a swimmers cut large is 9.92" x 12.1".

Some shooters cut, like Hesco, run small.
