A friend tried them and found them extremely frustrating. It finally pushed him over the edge to rattlecan his rifle, so it all turned out well in the end.

I think they excel at giving you and idea of what your rifle would look like spray painted or cerakoted.
I buy the vinyl in sheets from eBay. I have used gunskins before though (I used the accessory sheet to cover an AUG). It works fine. It won’t be perfect but once you embrace that—it looks ok from a distance. I never kept it on my gun long. It is probably good for camo on a duck gun or something. |

I’ve applied camo patterns to a few shotguns. Pretty simple, take your time and get ya a new exacto knife.

I did a hunting shotgun with camo vinyl that I bought off of eBay. I am very happy with it on a hunting 870 shotgun. I think it would be good on a bolt action hunting rifle too. I think it would be a pain to put on a AR and not sure how it would last on all of the intricate surfaces on the upper, lower, stock and fore end.

They work on something your afraid to paint. Used gunskins in multicam on fs2000 and came out will. Only complaint is it gets a little slippery if your hands sweat.
