Anyone hear anything yet about Zenith releasing any new models, such as an HK53 clone or anything like that?

In they past they haven't been shy about posting things early to Instagram and Facebook. This year they haven't posted anything.

Yeah, they said they would announce new stuff at SHOT but have not heard anything yet.

So far I’ve heard about a 300 Blackout rifle. Hopefully there will be more.

My thoughts also. Not going to be able to compete with a DI AR15 that cost a 1/4 of that price.

Make is a HK53 in blackout at around $1900 and it will sell. A 16" roller lock in .300 blk has no appeal.  Based on their prices, you can tell they are pretty proud of their new "custom shop".

I couldn't agree more.  A 53 in 5.56 or 300blk would have been appealing.  However, I think I'll stick to DI for that round and keep the rollers in 9mm and 7.62x51.

Wow, how disappointing. I don't know anyone that would want a full size HK93 clone in 300 blk, especially for $3k...

There's not a product in the entire Zenith catalog that I would pay $3k for.

I just don't understand the appeal to modernize these types of firearms and offer them in the latest and greatest calibers. You get these guns for nostalgia and variety. A .300 BO AR is cheaper and a superior platform. I get a .300BO CZ Bren or some other new rifle that has an LE/military market for those calibers, but I just cannot see the point in spending a lot on a dated design and then attempting to modernize it.

Too bad they can't figure out how to do $4,000 21s

Was talking with the Zenith rep while I was at Shot Show. It looks like they are doing G3/HK91 type rifles. They are also looking at doing 922r compliant factory SBRs.

They have been trying to figure out how the get the G3 rifle in for years, the earliest videos of them talk about it. I'm guessing it's 922r issues.

Exactly. Zenith needs to make 21E and 23E for US civvy import.

They won’t sell many. People will fondle them in the shops but not many will actually buy.

You may be right but I would definitely be a buyer. There aren't many non machinegun semi-autos that cost 12k+ for a questionable clone and what 20k+ for one built with factory/contract parts. If Zenith could bring one to market in the 6k range, that would bring HK belt feds in the range of people like me. I have a very hard time dropping all the money they are currently asking for questionable clones....

Yeah but is a few dozen sales worth the trouble of putting together an importable version?

That’s what naysayers said for FN and the M249s. Now look at the variants and future M240s they’re hinting at. Untapped market!

Difference being that FN has hot lines for both in the US with mostly the same parts, and have no import issues to worry about.

Forget the new stuff! When are they going to bring in more Z5RS and Z5P pistols. I want to buy both.

I’m in for a 21e and a 23e and spare barrels if they would get them here. They won’t be 4K like the mke guy said a couple years ago, when I talked to them over the phone he tossed out 7500 or so, at that price it’s several thousand under what a us made clone costs.
