Living in Connecticut for many years and now moved to Tennessee, I will finally get a chance to own one.

I put a deposit on one Thursday and it should be coming home Tuesday the latest. I order a 29" FDE M107A1. Now I'll have to look for glass and rings. I'm going to go ahead and start picking up boxes of .50

Congrats
I was buying ammo for my Barrett even before I got it. Seemed like a good excuse to get one

Man, these things are awesome to see in person. Barely fit in my safe. Got Badger USMC SASR 34mm rings coming in and about to pull the trigger on the Nightforce 34mm ATACR 7-35x56 optic.

Congrats! That’s badass. I only have two lowly bolt action 50s.

Before this one I had a Armalite AR50A1. We couldn't own Barrett M82's or M107s where we lived in Connecticut  because they were banned by name/model number.

Was a dream of mine to own one.

I guess because they were semi-auto? Banning 50s in general seems dumb if you ask me. Nobody is going to go around shooting up places with a 50 for various reasons.

Don't store it on the recoil pad. The weight of the rifle will eventually deform it. Break it down into it's upper and lower and store the lower on the nose.
Pin the carrier to the rear like it arrived it the case.

How would you recommend storing a 99? Front down?

Yes. Won't hurt the brake at all. They are heat treated 4140

@50cal Thanks for the suggestions on the storage.

@ZedsDeadBaby The panel system came in the safe that I had bought. Winchester Tactical Safe. It's pretty neat having the adjustability.
