Go and read in the AR retro forum. John Thomas can do it and do a great job. His email is: [email protected].
JT's current rate sheet (spring 2018) and he only charges $60 to mount a front sight.

It is important to get an armorer who has the right tools and expertise.  I think you found a good source.

No offense to others, who might be very well qualified, but this job is not one that I do myself.  Getting a gas block drilled and pinned is easy, but lining up so that the front sight actually aims and is not canted is pretty specific work, and it does not take much to be off by an MOA or two.  Think about it.  An MOA is 1/60 of a degree, so 1/60 of 1/360 of the complete distance around the barrel, so 1/21,600 of the circumference, and with 3/4" diameter, C=2(Pi)r or 1.18", 1 minute of angle is 0.00005 inches.  I cannot measure that, let alone get it correct drilling two holes.  

That is why we send this shit out to someone with brain surgeon hands and eyes.
