My attempt at multicam, but ended up more dark woodland.
Colors were: Aervoe sand, Rustoleum camo earth brown, Rustoleum flat brown, Rustoleum camo army green, Rustoleum satin hunt club green.
I used freedom stencil multicam stencils.
If I had to do it over, the only step I would have done different, would have been toward the end, I'd have done a dark coat with light sand coat
gradients, so it would have turned out a bit lighter.
Base coat with first stencils.

Second coat with slightly more stencils.

Painted lighter green with gradients of dark green.

Light sand color coat with gradients of dark brown.

Dusted with light sand to help lighten it up a bit.

Pretty much nailed the pattern with the stencils. I’ve done a couple MC rifles and I actually prefer when you make the palette your own, so to speak.  IIRC I posted one on LF many years ago. Used Aervoe Sand, Highlander, MC Green, light green (maybe?) and OD. Aervoe was awesome and held up well. Too bad that I’ve read it’s discontinued. I’ve got an OD rifle that I really want to tiger stripe.

It actually lightened up a bit more curing in my safe with the golden rod in it.
I'm quite fond of it now, but the Unity mount is driving me nuts for some reason.
Aervoe had some really awesome colors, don't know why they discontinued the military colors.

I had a tan 300blk pistol that needed to go green since I'm I live in an East coast swamp. Base was krylon light green and then did some darker Green and earth brown through the Lau dry bag. And then topped it off with some spider web black graffiti paint.

I'm looking to finally rattle can this, and I have really been playing around with doing a DCU pattern, but frankly theres not a lot of examples or templates to follow. Has anyone here done DCU as a pattern?

6 or 3 color DCU?  I've done 3 color tan, brown but a darker green instead of the other light green in Afghanistan.

Painted some mags to match my rifle. I unfortunately used woodland green instead of forest green for the first three, but I think they still came out well.

Been trying to find the pics.  Used the same lower on two 10.3" Mk18 uppers (0/1)  The Mod 0 has the more DCU pattern.

I've painted my ACOG 3 or 4 times. After I stripped it years ago you couldn't tell I ever painted it except in some minor nooks. Granted it's been dropped onto concrete and blown up a couple times so maybe that hides the paint.

Eh, it's not much more than some rash from the concrete and general wear from carrying it over 3 deployments.

From a couple posts up…Alright, I decide I needed to break up my pattern more so added some dark brown. I’m not adding green on this gun as it’s mostly used in corn fields, duck pond edges and from tree bases while turkey hunting.

I was going to tap into my case of Earth Yellow for this one but wussed out at the last minute and went with Field Drab

I'll need to work out a good pattern for the Earth Yellow to be used for it first. Maybe something like this mid-war disruptive scheme

OK....... So I drank over a half a pint of Bird Dog Burbon yesterday afternoon, doing yardwork, and decided to 'F*ck Around & Find Out' what I could do with masking tape and a .45 cal wad cutting tool

I'm really digging the Aervoe Earth Yellow. Used it as the base, Rustoleum Deep Forrest Green Camo, and Rustoleum Dark Grey Primer sprayed over the mask.
Took these pics as soon as the sun cut through the fog this morning

It blends in pretty well at some distance. Seems to be a pretty decent disruptive pattern
