That's pretty sick, and almost certainly a big improvement over the real L85.

A reciprocating bolt handle right there might be a bit distracting.
ETA: Pretty cool though. It mentions compatibility with different uppers. |

Pretty slick.
What's the blue piece down the side? Trigger bar? If so don't like the idea of that being exposed. |
Geez. That thing is terribly unappealing in the looks category. Ugly doesn't quite capture how bad it looks.
I think that looks great. They captured the forbidden fruit L85 aesthetic perfectly.
I haven't cared at all about the BRN-180 but this changes the calculus a bit. $700-$800 for a lower to pair with a $900 upper is a pair of bitter pills to swallow though. |

I normally despite and poo poo kit bullpups...
But...I want this one . |
Looks great, but that’s about the only possible way to make the BRN180 charging handle worse than it already is.

A3 Tactical Triad looks nicer.

This might be as close to an L85/SA80 that any of us can get... and, I mean, it can't be any worse could it?
Ok that SA80 lookalike is actually pretty cool
I do dig the trigger guard and forend.

That actually looks well thought out, relatively speaking. While I still prefer my purpose-designed bullpups, I'm Curious to see what else they produce in the future.
And supposedly there are kits that make the charging handle way less "in your face" for the BRN-180. |

Are BRN receivers still bowing out while suppressed? I haven't followed them in a while but I remember that being an issue.

My replies don't seem to be tagging but yeah swampfox that's my OC. I have a prototype for testing.

Lovin it. Just over 1k rds so far (95% w the AEM5). Gonna switch to a form 1 soon to see how it is w 30 cal.

This is my ode to the L85, from a Bushmaster M17s that I’ve had for 25 years. Had the conversion done maybe 18 years ago? Attached File

"It just gets that much more exciting when it has a carry handle on it. Or tiger stripes. If you have both, then you have the John Wayne in the Green Berets size of a big win."
Very minimalist. I like it.
Suprised it took this long for someone to make an actual bullpul receiver for these things. |
Never looked too much into the BRN-180 stuff, but that is pretty cool - may have to pick one of these up.
So you just buy a 16" BRN-180 complete upper and throw it on this lower? That's it? Plug and play? |

Does the front handguard come with the lower kit?
From what I am seeing its doesn't. |

Are their pictures with short uppers? I have a 300 Blackout upper.

This is a pretty cool concept. My BRN is a 10.5in length on a SBR lower so no easy transition. If I had a 16 or 18in upper, it would be cool to swap back and forth from traditional to bullpup configurations.
With an $850 upper and $700 bullpup lower, you’re looking at at least $1500 for one of these. At that point a purpose built AUG, Tavor or Hellion might be the way to go |

Nontheless I always wanted an SA80 even if they are crappy rifle in the military. In the first pic in the OP is that an SBR? I like it where the muzzle is just a little past the handguard. You can get a version with an elongated buttpad/endcap if you're using a 16" barrel, because otherwise the OAL is less than 26". It'd be funny to see someone pin and weld a surefire muzzle device to meet the OAL requirements. |

I did a P&W on my X95's so I could use the thin IDF buttplate and still meet the 26" OAL. |
