Would I be able to use these until I find some used Lee dies?

I wont be shooting/reloading enough to warrant new dies. 50-100 a year. And will be using 9mm fmj pulled bullets for plinking.

I'm guessing no, 9mm is a tapered case, but I don't really know. If you are only shooting 100rds a year and your planning on using crap bullets anyway. I would think it would be better to just buy ready to go AMMO. Why waste your time reloading 100rds when you could buy it cheap enough.

That’s a negative. You can’t use 9mm dies to reload 38s.

For 1, Lee dies for 38 spc are not very expensive.

For 2, Pulled 9mm bullets will not be very accurate

For 3, Why?

I've tried to load .355" 9MM projectiles into .38 SPL cases.  I can't get the case mouth small enough to hold the projectile in place.

Give it a try.

The 38 special case base is not going to expand a whole lot.  In a revolver, if you can chamber it and the case can hold a bullet in place, you should be good to go for blasting ammo.  The 9mm expander die should be ideal for your pulled 9mm bullets.  The bullets may be a bit small for the 38 special bore, so good accuracy may not be there.

Reloading dies are not rocket science.  I made a two part 280 Ross sizing die of 1 1/2" 4140 prehard after breaking my store bought die.  This one is better than the factory die I had as it better fits my rifle chamber.

Also be aware that undersized bullets may be more likely to creep out under recoil, up to and including enough to lock up the cylinder.

Going for the 105 Power Factor for a classifier?

I've got an old set of hand dies in 38 special for when I need to reload a few. Really makes you appreciate a progressive.....or a single stage for that matter!
