Is there a silencer that works well for both PCCs and handguns?

I'd be prioritizing lightweight and low blowback.

Would primarily be used on a 16" MPX and Glock 19.

Was eyeballing the Sig and Huxwrx 9mm silencers.

What do you all suggest?

Thanks

Put an R9 on the PCC with Phantom QD.  Don't try to switch it to your pistol.

Get a handgun can for the pistol.

Maybe that Ecco one that will run on a pistol without a booster?

Here it is… the TLX

I’ve never used this, but it’s got my attention.

I use an Omega 9k in that role. It’s a little fat for handguns but the short length makes up for it. Blowback isn’t bad but it’s host & ammo dependent. On PCCs and subguns it hits above its size.  In side by side comparisons the bigger cans will be quieter but by itself it seems decent.  Being rated for blackout supers is useful (as a compact, take the edge off can on short barrels, and adequate on longer barrels).

AAC Ti-Rant 9M-HD would fit that bill great. Had my older Ti-Rant 9 converted to their HD with steel baffles. 3-lug on the PCC and standard piston and spring on the handguns. No complaints.

Based on Pew’s testing, the Cash 9k seems like a good choice. I’d probably get the full Rad 9 though (supposedly the Cash 9 is just the short Rad 9).

Wow.  Swap from pistol to carbine on the go.

With the caveat that in order to run on most pistols without a booster, it needs the ultralight 7075 aluminum mount.  The TLX is 1.125-28 Alpha compatible and will accept all the different mounts and adapters, but pretty well any other mount is gonna put it over the weight that tilting barrel designs will tolerate rigid mounted, which is in the 4-5 ounce range.  TLX 9mm is 4.3 with the aluminum mount

Striker fired hosts are also less tolerant than hammer fired; our Beretta 92, Baby Eagle, all the S&W 1st, 2nd and 3rd gens, 1911s, etc ran fine with lower powered 158 gr 850 FPS subsonics, but the Remington RP9, the G19- those needed more typical 147 gr/~1,000 FPS ammo to function reliably.  The G19 wouldn't run the Fiocchi 158s with a 9 ounce boostered can, either, though.

Omega 9K is really about the best option. It isnt the quietest out there but when the size is looked at it is all around a good option.

I can’t say anything about the specs as far as weight or blowback but I’ve used the Tyrant 9 and Obsidian 9 for a little bit now and have been happy with both. The Obsidian is a modular can.

Used on 10”AR9, AP5, Henry Big Boy in 38/357 and on a few different handguns. All of them sound fine and have different mounts for each purpose.

Personally I think ammo choice is a big part of how happy or disappointed people are with suppressors.

I ordered an ECCO TLX through the local shop.  ECCO shipped fast (thank you), now just waiting on the BATF to process my form.  I ordered the .45 can with an extra 1/2x28 plate.

Wishlist would be the lightweight aluminum backplate with an insert that took a Griffin CAM-LOK or EZ-LOK insert that didn't significantly affect the mass to interfere with cycling.   Is that possible?

Glad to hear that as I just ordered an Omega 9K that will spend most of its time on an MPX.   Obsidian 9 was the next option I was looking at.
