Just built my first 9mm AR and it feeds fine with ball/round nose ammo, but it doesn't like the flat nose frangible ammo I usually practice with.  I haven't tried hollow points yet, but I assume it's going to have the same issue.

What is everyone using for "duty" ammo in their 9mm AR builds?

Thanks

Roll my own. Mostly use 147gr Coated Lead Flatnose from Missouri Bullet. Very quiet suppressed. The AR9 will eat anything though.

Did you have a break-in period?  I had multiple failures to feed with flat nosed bullets the first 2 mags.

The round nose stuff I tired worked flawlessly.

Also load my own.

Dillon master race.

147gr flat nose plated... feeds great in my AR9.

Believe I polished the hell out of the small feed ramp rim long ago. It's a Yankee Hill upper/barrel. QC10 Glock lower. This combo always feeds??

I have a CMMG that takes Colt mags that I SBR’d and put a TROS 3-lug barrel on. It has eaten every bullet profile out there. I have 147 gr HST’s for social work since I on,y shoot it suppressed.

Mine shoots ball fine and hasn't had any problems with 147gh HSTs.

I did have some issues with it early on but got some different followers for my mags and it is good to go now.

Same ammo I shoot in my CZ pistols.  115 grain hollow points.

I have shot 115 grain FMJ in the ARs and it did fine.

115 works in the Scorp.
124 seems to work much better in the metal PCCs (Uzi, Stribog, etc)

So I just make it a point to use 124 in everything PCC.

YMMV, etc.
