Is there a flat magazine end cap for the 870, all the ones I have seen are domed. Is there a reason they are domed? Its going on an sbs and want to cut the barrel as short as possible flush with the end cap.

Never saw a flat 870 mag cap or saw the need, but you could file or mill one flat. The older style with the cross marks milled in would work. Just mill to the bottom of the cut and you have a flat cap.

Thanks for the idea, I'll try it out. I believe the 870 mcs used flat end caps but they are unobtainium.

Serbu has a flat mag cap on their Super Shorty 870, try contacting them and see if they will sell just the cap.
