I use the seating die depending on what bullets are getting crimped, being that I have a single shot, I don't crimp some projos because they don't need it.

Most surplus gets seated to the canalure and then crimped and that keeps them pretty close to each other lengthwise.

I was wondering if the crimp added powder dwell time resulting a more thorough burn and better performance. Hence the question...

I crimp for Semi-Auto/Auto but not for Bolt guns.
