I made a trade for a pretty decent '57 Model 94 yesterday. It's the cleanest pre-64 Model 94 I've seen out in the wild for a while.

I had to "give to get" on this one. I traded a '84 Ruger 77/22 for it straight up but as I did not have all that much ($500) in the Ruger it was a OK trade money-wise and a bit better than a rub value-wise given how the older Winchesters that are still in good shape just keep going-up in value.

They had a '59 I could get for $600.00 but it had some receiver pitting due to neglect and is missing the sight hood but otherwise was in like condition.....Still pondering on that one.

My only pre-64 is a 1957. It’s in the same shape as yours, OP. I put it in the safe to give to the grandson someday. I’ve got newer shooters that’ll take the use.

How do you determine age? Is there a SN lookup or something?
