Random thought of the day.  My Cousin hunts with a sporterized 1903 Springfield, which has the cutout for the Pederson Device.  I usually hunt with an AR, and I was joking with her that her 1903 was closer to a machinegun than my AR... Then the "Once a machinegun, always a machinegun" rule just popped into my head...Would that apply in this case?

Pederson Device was semi-auto.

Well, that certainly blows my theory out of the water.    I think I was getting it mixed up with the full auto Enfield conversion the New Zealanders came up with.

It would've been a piss poor submachine gun anyway.
