Before the ammo craziness it would be the MK319 hands down. Now? Whatever you can get.

I built this 12.5" sbr in summer of 2020. I bought 3k of tula .308 so I went with a slr adjustable gas block and tuned it to the low power load. Runs fine.

The barnes 130 ttsx would probably be my second choice next to mk319. Lehigh also has a bullet in the same weight class that seems decent.

I have a bunch of the Nosler 125gr I bought years ago for 300blk loading. I plan to try them out in my 10.5” and 12.5” .308 rifles eventually.

Since I reload, I found the cheapest powder (some Winchester pull down stuff) and pulled 147s fmjs. Worked up a load and just been loading that. Thankfully I did my 12.5 308 before this craziness happened so I originally got 16 lbs of powder, 2k bullets and already had plenty of primers (doesn't seem like it now).
