I recently purchased a 10/22 mag from an online retailer. Instead of the typical “glossy” type black plastic I received a “matte” black plastic magazine. Have any of y’all seen this type before? Is it really OEM?

I’m trying to figure out is it actually OEM?

Yep, they even got clear ones also.

Looks like they may have changed the material or mold a bit.  I remember when Ruger switched from aluminum to plastic trigger housings, too.  Maybe the new one is a better type of plastic that holds up better, though I've never had a Ruger rotary mag fail.

If the mags start acting up, one can purchase a tool and parts from Tandemkross to rebuild them.

Thanks for all the replies, I was just making sure I had an OEM mag. Like one of y’all said, most likely a mold/ material change.

Looks legit to me.

There is not really any money to be made in selling bogus 10 round 10/22 mags.
