Saw a pic recently of a 1.7" LPVO with a PEQ-15- sight picture is OK but the device covers basically everything in the bottom 45% or so of the sight picture. Is there a reference somehow that lists the rough heights of popular IR devices?

Choosing a MAWL would make this 'issue' irrelevant but looking to see all options.

Mount the PEQ-15 on the side?

Only a real issue on 1x, becomes invisible past that

Or just mount on the side

All my handguards are MLOK and i'd really prefer not to mount an IR device stacked on a pic rail adapter in an MLOK slot.

You really want a MAWL anyway, don't fight it.

Pretty sure that exact scenario was what the Larue 1.93 height mounts were developed for.

It will look very different based on rail length and depending on how close to the device the end of the objective is. A mk8 1-8 will hit different than a Vortex razor hd2 for example. Also 9" vs 15" rail.

Yea you're right. The older pics of special guys with those S&B short dots on early gwot carbines comes to mind. I am trying to achieve this with a 1.7" mount.

I don't know what the actual height is but the Designate IR-V sits very low.
