Do you register and pay ITAR & DDTC fees annually?

I would ask vengarr but sadly cannot anymore.

1 SOT shop I worked at did, and 2 other ones didn't.

Once you register, you absolutely do have to pay annually unless the business is disestablished.

I think it's more common that small-time SOTs do not, but idk.

The best is if you have an exemption letter from DDTC, but I think you'd need to be more focused on research, training, and consultation type work to even have a chance at getting one. I really never hear much about that.

I think most guys just don't do it, and by and large there's no problem from the State Department but I'm here to become better educated about that.
