It's pretty damn close to .22lr suppressed territory.

When I was playing with my recently jailed R2 on the .300 blk bolt I was very surprised with the first shots of subsonics.  The only can I have to compare it to is the Sandman K which is what I've always called adequate but the difference between them is night and day.

I'm hoping the R9 is going to be comparable to the Resonator K meter wise on the bolt guns.  If I can get a 9mm subgun can that pulls double duty as another effective K option for the majority of my  30 cal hosts I think it would be the better option compared to the Resonator K.  I'm sure many others will agree.

But if you only need to worry about suppressing 30 cal only the Resonator K seems like another full of win option from YHM.

I like that channel.  They talk a little fast but they put out great information.

Can the Resonator K do direct thread like the Turbo K?

Where are you guys in VA?  I'm pretty sure I need a YHM .30 cal R2, the YHM-3050-24A Kurz Kit, and the YHM-4315 5/8x24 flash hider for the Kurz.

I also need to know if the PMM shoulder machining for a SCAR17 barrel will work with the setup above, and a 13" barrel.

I love how direct and to the point they are. I'll take raw data over 15 minutes of someone's personal opinion any day.

Ironically this steered me away from a k can seeing the vast difference between the resonator and resonator k.

Good video. Makes me wonder what kind of numbers it will get on a 300bo sbr with supers.

Looks good, thanks.

The stamp for my Resonator K should be here any day now, right?

It’s interesting that there is a significant difference between the regular Resonator and the K, but I’ve seen videos comparing the original Turbo and the K version and there wasn’t much difference. What gives?

I’m just saying when they compare the Turbo and Turbo K using the same gun, ammo etc. they meter pretty much the same whereas when they compare the Resonator and Resonator K under the same circumstances, the results are very different.

BTW, I bought my Turbo from you guys and it’s a great can

I’m right there with you.  Was looking to add it to compliment the Turbo K.  If anything, it makes me consider the full size Resonator a lot more.

That would suffice. Can you get Kevin to send you an R9? I really want to see how all these subgun cans stack up to one another

That's a good thing, really! It would be horrible to wait all that time just to realize you were unhappy with your choice of suppressors. That's why I love these videos, and why I spent untold hours watching and reading everything I could before making a final decision.

K cans have their use, which is more about taking the bite off the muzzle blast at a minimal cost of length and weight. My Sandman-K helps tame my 10.5" barrel, but really shines on my 18" Grendel that I will be using for hunting. I don't need it to be super quite, just not earsplittingly loud. That's where the K cans really come into play, in my opinion.

Glad there are finally some videos up. Thing is which metering do you take more into account? Muzzle or at the ear? I'd like to see a weigh in of the Resonator R2 also.

FWIW i'm of the polar opposite though. I was impressed by the Resonators reduction but currently own a 9", 8", and 6.3" can and just absolutely loathe the extended length & weight it adds to my bolt guns hunting or my ARs. Which is why i went resonator K and Turbo K, and likely will snag an R9 for the stribog. I plan to use my resonator K on my 7 sherman short this december. Outside of hunting for me personally there isn't much of a scenario where i'm not wearing earpro though the thought is nice.

That was a very good comeback video, I hope they keep making them. I really liked the measurement and weigh in with QD and DT mounts, I hope that becomes a standard part of the video. I love the size and weight of the Resonator K, but I think it would be a bit too loud for my uses. The regular Resonator obviously isn't trying to be short and light, but man does it look good on the meter.

This was an awesome video, YHM’s hottest K cans plus the new full size .30, and they tested on the perfect variety of hosts.

Like someone else said, my only complaint about SN is they speak as if they’re racing through a script. Minor complaint though haha

Glad I just purchased a Res K to compliment my full size GA 30cal.

@hansohnbrothers

Were you able to test the DT mount vs QD mount on the 308 bolt gun?

I have a 16.5" Tikka 308 that my YHM SS Phantom (34oz) lives on and the Resonator K is very tempting because it would ave 23+oz and about 4+" in length  just curious how much more suppression I will lose from the extra volume the QD mount are provides as well as wear and tear on the internals of the suppressor

Hmmmm..... in that case is there any suppressor in the price range that can compete with the resonator K?

Sub 6” .308 can for the price?

Great video.  It helps a lot.
Resonator R2 for the win for me.
Its a little heavier/longer but it suppresses well.
Adds .30 cal options.

It would have been useful to get the Turbo T2 numbers on .556 as well.
Last test was, No, Turbo K, Resonator K, Resonator, No Turbo?.
But im just nitpickin'.
That titanium DT saves a lot of weight!!!

Thanks!

Good video. I've been going back and forth between a Turbo K and a Resonator K for my next can. I already have a Resonator and it's great but now I'm looking for some smaller and more compact to mostly run on my 5.56 AR. I figured the Res K would be a little more flexible if I wanted to run it on anything else but it is a bit louder on the 5.56. The size difference is negligible

After watching the video.....I still don't know what I want lol

Shot my Resonator K today on my 11.5" coincidentally Turbo K got approved today also. Will be picking it up thursday. It was honestly pretty incredible given it's size. First round pop was there and after a couple of rounds it sounded very nice. YHM is killing it.
