Just picked up a 24" oct barrel .357mag Rossi 92 to go with my Rossi made Puma .357mag.

I've posted the trapper before but I don't think I've shown it with the skinner sight so I dragged it out too.

Really Nice M-88.
Which Leupold scope is that?
What size groups do you get at 100yds?

I have a Garand and a Rem. 700 in 308 so a lever in that caliber would work out for me.
I shot a friend's Browning BLR and found the stock did not work for me with a scope.

TIA,
Rudison

That is a 2x7 Leupold Vari-X II. I was getting around 1-1/2" to 2" groups at 100 yards the last time I had her out (That was quite a few years ago!).

I have a Tasco 3x9 scope on my Marlin .45-70 and while the combination has worked great, it is a large scope and just doesn't fit the balance of the rifle all that well.....I want to swap that out for another Leupold 2x7 scope. I think the smaller scopes look better on a lever action...

Agreed on smaller is better.
I squirreled away a Burris 2-7 compact for my Marlin 1894 in 357.

"Free" 22 given to me. Sat on porch of hunt club cabin for 20+ years. I got as a box of parts. With original barrel, shot 3" to left at 25 yards. Replaced barrel with 39M octagonal and forearm cap. Shortened magazine, contoured trigger. Buttplate came from old Marlin 1894.

A friend designed and built a stock duplicator for a local gunsmith and got him to do the cutting and initial inletting in exchange for a couple of take-off stocks for patterns. I performed the final shaping, fitting and finishing of the stock and forearm. The forearm needed to be filled when the barrel was changed. I had another friend who has a fine furniture repair business do this in exchange for some A/C work. The trigger was a replacement and came with gold plating. It looked out of place so I contoured it. I also am not a fan of the "perchbelly" forearm that is characteristic Marlin so I chose a slimmer profile. The buttplate and forearm cap are polished in the white to add contrast. Several internal parts were missing and had to be replaced and adjustments had to be made to get it to cycle properly. There is some pitting still present on the receiver and lever and they are only cold blued (due to a disagreement with the gunsmith). So it's still a work in progress. It's also a sweet little shooter.

As far as I'm aware, the XS DRC sights will go on a 336.  The hole spacing should be the same...

Skinner sights sells the same sight for both the 336 and 1895. I'd bet the hole spacing is the same on both guns.

Earlier, I posted pictures of my Cimarron Henry in 45LC. Thought you folks might like to see my wife's '66 carbine in 38 spl. She had been campaigning a Rossi '92 rifle in 357 mag. It was a nice rifle but even with some tuning it was still a bit clunky. Every time she tried to speed up, it never failed to prove troublesome. A fellow SASS shooter found this carbine in an area gun shop, thought of her, and called me up and asked if I would be interested. It was like new and priced at well below retail.  I bought it and then put in over 60 hours working on it as a surprise anniversary present. Needless to say, she was thrilled. She's been shooting it for about three years so it has accumulated a bit of honest wear and some patina, but, I think it's holding up well.

Tactical 336!

Well, not really. The bipod is only on there until the attachment stud comes in to put it on my AR15.
Raised scope rails and Center Point red dot. Inexpensive but, so far, works well. I like the raised rails, as I can still aim through the factory sights.
Uncle Mike's leather military sling.
Homemade leather butt-cuff holds 4 rounds of Cor-bon DPX 30-30. Also offers a good cheek-weld for the red-dot.
Pachmayr Decelerator buttpad.
