MP40 Machine Pistol, other wise known as a "Schmeisser" even though Yugo Schmeisser did not make it.

WWII Walther P-38.

STG44 Sturmgehwehr.

Broom handle Mauser.

Yeah, that's about it.

I have always wanted a MP-44 and a SVD. The odds of getting the SVD here are pretty slim, but I have consoled myself by buying a Tiger.

I have a big list of guns that I would love to own, but those 2 have always been at the top of the list for as long as I can remember.

I've wanted a M40A1 ever since I first fired one in the Marines.  Copies are available, but whew!, what a price.

Ever since I saw a RobArms M96 I've wanted one with a Beta C Mag and extra barrel assembly .

Maybe...when I win the lottery!

The M96 is a fun gun...very smooth....the factory is making them better all the time.  It's a great system, I am hoping Robarm starts to realize the full potential of what they are making and I hope they exploit it to the max.

Semi-auto MG42, but at $4,000 it is just too expensive for me!

I've been quite fortunate in that I've been able to get a lot of the guns I've always wanted. However, still on my list is an M2HB.

I've ALWAYS wanted an M2. About 7 years ago, I decided I needed an M82A1. Two years ago, I discovered I HAD TO HAVE an HK51. And a few months back, I decided I needed a Shrike.

So far, I have none of the above. I'll be hunting for a sear pack this winter though.... Maybe an UZI too!!

M1A1 National Match. There is one on consignment at GunMaster in Plano for $1100ish that I just drooled over yesterday. If the hospital wasn't cancelling me so much on my extra hours, I'd have that sucker!

Pistols.....I've always wanted a Ruger P90 chambered for 10mm.

Rifles.....an honest to God M1D.

Shotguns....don't laugh, but I would just love to have a Streetsweeper, if for no other reason than to say that I have one.

Well later on today I get to pick up my Luger.
One came in the shop last week and I took it.
It's a BYF 41 in 85% all matching number except the mag with a little pitting in the bore.
I wanted a shooter, so it fit the bill.

Sorry boys but the German weapon that beats them all is the FG42. That's my number 1 pick.

Full power (8x57), 9lb weight, spring loaded buttstock allows controllable full auto, open bolt full auto & closed bolt semi auto...that's what I'M talkin' 'bout.

Even better how about a modern improved version in .308?

Second choice would be a Stoner 63 with rifle & belt fed accessories.

Third choice would be a British L4A3 Bren in .308.

Honorable mention: MP5 in 10mm & a double rifle in .500 Nitro Express caliber.

One that might have a chance of coming true: a Robinson M96 in 6.8x43.

More to come...

THere are two, the first one is a UMP45 and the other and best would be a Browning Automatic Rifle.  However a simi-auto 1918a3 is just fine.

It keeps changing (mainly as a result of acquisitions). I guess I'm pretty much done with long rifles for a while, so now I'm interested in the S&W/Performance Center .357 magnum revolver.

When it comes to dream guns, a Thompson.  So I bought one.  For what was then lotsabucks and now seems like a hell of a deal.  If anyone is wondering if it is worth all the $$ and hassle, the short answer is HELL YES.  The downside is if you actually get your dream gun then you have to get new dreams.

CRY ME A RIVER, huh?

Oh, and I have seen and handled the Walther 300 Win semi auto you have pictured there.  One rare beast indeed.  It was used in a James Bond movie.  It is for sale (probably still) at Earl's repair service in Massachusetts (imagine that!).

Blackjack...You REALLY don't want an M82A1 WITHOUT the muzzle brake. We're talking bone breaking recoil. After one shot you wouldn't have to worry about dust!!! Take the brake!

Eh... BONE breaking?

Can't be as bad as a bolt action 50...  Then again, we are talking about a .50.....

Point well-recieved.

So, eh, what about that Winchester?

It may not be bone-breaking, but it will probably detach your retina..just FYI

First off, I find it funny you speak of an AutoMag.  Cause that is probably the only other gun I have always craved other than a '27 Tommy Gun.

Now, did AMT actually REPRODUCE the auto-mag, or are they the original?  And the round is not a .44Mag right, it's an actual .44AutoMag round IIRC??  What is it like?  can you form any commercial brass to fit the AutoMag?

Gundraw

P.S.  I got my first glimpse of the Auto-Mag in Dirty Harry's Sudden Impact....  Man those are sweet.
