I predict that the closest I'm going to be to the SHOT show this year is at the computer scrolling through all of the inevitable picture threads.
Other Predictions:
*Ares Defense will announce the Shrike MK II, deliveries expected by December, deposites to be excepted immediately after the conclusion of the SHOT show.
*ROBARM will again claim that deliveries should begin on their new XCR in "a couple weeks". People will visit the booth to see if the XCR really exists.
*The FN, Sig, and Steyr booths will be the most popular among the civilian crowd.
*Colt and HK will comiserate together with their empty booths full of LE/Military only hardware, attempting to woo the civilian audience with the same-old, same-old.
*Vltor will announce a mid, and full length version of their CAS-V rail system (I hope).
*We will see an abundance of .308 ARs from all companies, excluding Bushmaster
I can't wait to see and hear all about the cool new stuff that should be coming out within the next year or so. I'm particularly interested in the prospect of civilian legal Sig 550 series rifles and AUGs. More things for me to divert my college money to.
I hope that they make the SG 550 version in addition to a version similar to the 551, as the 550 version would not need to be registered as a pistol in the state of Michigan because it's OAL is greater than 30". I'm also hoping that if the rifle accepts AR magazines, it is because of an adapter, rather than a modified receiver, I want the original style mags!
Life is really looking up for us EBR types! We should enjoy the next 2-3 years, as they may be our hobby's last.
