As long as they keep the prices down. $995.(railed) and $1295.(w/optic) are good prices in my opinion. I will definitely buy one at those prices.

I agree. I'm holding out for one right now. I'd rather have a 9mm MSAR than a 5.56mm MSAR since I can get Glock magazines all day long, it's cheaper to shoot and I can take it to the "pistol caliber only" range right up the street from my house.

Now if and when MSAR comes out with a STANAG stock, the other guys lower their price OR Steyr decideds to join the party at a reasonable price, then I might pick up one of those as well.

Otherwise I'm just going to wait until these come out before I buy an AUG.

Hi, new here.

Been following this for a while.

I have the MSAR -556

It shots great and is smaller than my Duty M4 with the barrel collapsed. My next step is to get a good scope for it. (got the railed version)

How far out are the pistol caliber MSAR? I would love to get a 9mm one and a bunch of the 33rd mags

I think that the MSAR would be about the perfect set-up. So much for doing a SBR 9mm AR-15 rifle.

The 20" barrel STG 556s are available for purchase now, but the heavy barrel match STG 556 rifles are still coming out. I was lead to believe that once the heavy barrel match rifles were done their next order of business was to get the MCS out the door.

Shouldn't be too much longer.

I've got 5.56 covered til the SCAR or ACR comes out, right now I am really wanting a 9mm carbine. I am really loving the idea of an AUG pattern carbine I already have a wad of mags for.

So again any MSAR guys want to put an estimate or date out of release? My interest is in the $1K'ish model without optic.

Impactguns.com will surely take a preorder, they'll ship your gun about five years after it comes out and they have sold others at inflated prices. They are fricking assholes and I have no idea how they are still around. Sorry, don't know anywhere reliable.

They are not backordered according to another dealer who posted some info in another thread, but it does appear they are moving at a pretty good clip.

The pistol caliber MSAR will have a captured market with no other weapon similar to it available (espeically in that price range) while once the Steyr AUG comes out the MSAR will have real competition. Due to that, it is probably a better marketing/sales strategy to focus on production of the STG-556. Every person who buys an STG-556 now is one that will buy MSAR magazines and accessories for that rifle in the future.

Just my thoughts on it all...

Yup, I'm not sure how they can claim to be swamped with backorders when they just sold off a ton of rifles to the lowest bidder (CDNN). I doubt they would have needed to do that if they were selling faster than they can make them.

CDNN sells a shit ton of guns. If I walk into any of 3 gunshops in my area I can pretty much see the contents of there current catalog, all at higher markup of course.
