My xm177e1 is ready, i assembled it from parts and one m16a1 that was brought back from Vietnam. Only Barrel is not original, buffer is full round. It looks similar to the genius xm177e1 that i posted in this topic https://www.ar15.com/forums/AR-15/Detail-Pictures-of-xm177e1/123-747257/

Are Automatic weapons difficult to own in Poland?  Asking for an embassy staffer.

Beautiful rifle, congratulations

A small detail you probably already know : the front sling swivel is held by a roll pin, not a rivet.

Are those markings compulsory in your country ?

Very nice.  What's the sling made from?  It looks like the carry strap off of an old canvas USGI messenger bag.

Its called a GP strap. You cut the metal fasteners and rig para cord to make the loops

It's a USGI GP Strap (2") with the metal clips cut off of both ends and paracord loops tied in.

It's called a General Purpose strap.

The only "modern" one I've seen are from the USGI large 2 quart water canteen. Otherwise they sell surplus bulks of these old general purpose straps. I bought mine from eBay that came in a 5 pack of straps. It was made in the 50s. I use a hacksaw and cut the metal buckles off and then put a paracord through it. Very nice setup. Don't waste $30+ dollars for a pre-made one. You can buy the strap and paracord for about $10-15 bucks total.

Now after the EU Gunban you can't own as a private collector a MG, I had the Full Collector Permit but for my own safety I converted everything to semi (sear block in m16s, semi trigger unit in m14s, you can convert them back without any damage to the weapons, I am waiting for better times)

When you want Full Auto then you can open your shooting school (you don't need to have customers and you can buy MG) Or you make a commercial shooting range (you don't need to have you own Range). You can also have a permit for Import, export, buy, sell guns then you can own MG guns on your company. Last thing you are a Gunsmith :)

Thanks, Yes I saw this I will change it when i have the gun at home, it is still in the armory from my Gunsmith.
Thanks to the EU and their stupid laws and Gun Bans the weapon need to be marked like this:

Barrel and Bolt have the serial number, upper have serial number and the company what build the gun
Lower need to have:

Assembled in Poland
cal. 5.56/223 Rem
Serial number and manufacture.

Without these markings the weapon would be illegal and you can easy lose your permit.
The markings are fresh made, laser engraved they are not deep only the anodizing is cut, when you clean it with oil (the burned dust) it is much smaller than in the pictures. Now thanks to the EU you can't any more convert MG to semi, this xm177e1 and the rest what i rebuild now are probably and sadly my last.

Again fantastic looking guns.

So sad what is happening in your country under the EU diktat and stupid Brussels technocrats, under the false pretence of fighting terrorism.

And I am worried Switzerland is heading in the same direction.
