I am looking to put together an entry level build and came across a ruger elite lower with 2 stage trigger at my local gun shop. Does anyone have an opinion or any experience with these?

Nothing the matter with it at all. Every Ruger firearm I own just keeps "ticking".

Subject to the price, I'd buy one without hesitation. I can't say i see them readily available at the various places I shop.

The trigger is probably a variant of the Schmid two stage used and sold by many dealers.

The Ruger 2 stage elite trigger is damn near identical to Rock River arm's varmint trigger. I've got 3 of each, all fall in the 3.25-3.5 lb pull range.
