i set the sight all the way to the left and go all the way to the right and count clicks and divide that by 2 to find center?

Finding mechanical center isn't going to accomplish anything unless you have a windage adjustable front sight base. Since the NRA/CMP switched rules to allow for scopes up to 4.5X power almost nobody is using adjustable front sight bases nowadays. Go shoot the rifle and adjust as needed. |

Brownells sells one that I just got. It works fine but not great. Had to straighten the tabs with pliers to get it to line up with the notches on front/rear sight
