Just need Ranger bands for mine. Have a decent laser engraving lower, so we shall see, once it is hollowed out and Moly'd. Have an original SF660 with tape and Aimpoint 5000, along with a period Colt short government barrel, with correct markings, so hoping in a few months, it will be GTG. |

Question for the hive... Perfecting my Gordon Carbine and have these lower options - NDS M16A1 lower in grey - H&R "COTS" M16A2 lower in black - Laser engraved 80% with correct Colt markings - would need to be sent out to be professionally milled and anodized - Wait for an IntMilCo M16A2 COTS lower in whatever batch he runs them in What does the group thing would be the best option? |

Agreed, @CapnMike. That carbine is the best. Nice work man. Took mine out, credit to @cdholmes for doing most of the work on this one. For nostalgia purposes, I used an old Parson's magazine with the black follower (super tilty) and even though the upper does not have M4 feedramps, M855A1 fed just fine.

About to get the final piece for my RO727 build, an engraved 80% lower, with my version of Colt, aka Dolt, markings. Upper is already assembled and waiting. In the upper half, I have: - Colt A2 upper, with 8/3 rear sight - Colt 14.5" Government profile barrel, with Pinned and Welded A2 flash suppressor, with period markings - Colt six hole small carbine handguards - Aimpoint 5000, with vertical clamshell rings on a simple 1990s type carry handle bar rail - SureFire 660P, with working tape switch You will be able to feast your eyeballs on it soon, but please no drooling.  |

I wasn't able to get a hold of a legacy Aimpoint so I'm going to go with the PRO... What rings are you using to mount to the rail? I'm trying to figure out what the best options are. Thanks. |

Probably a silly question but if I can't get my hands on a 660 6P is there any "substitute" that'll fit in the Weaver mount? My build isn't clone correct but certainly looks the part of SSG Busch's 727 in BHD. @reccerecon hooked me up big time and I just put the order in for the Aimpoint. Last thing on the list is a functioning light. ETA: The scope ring for the Aimpoint Pro is 30mm? |
