Anyone have any sources (I know....normally ya keep sources secret) for retro aiming devices?  It would be great if there was somewhere that serviceable gear could be had but Im not above dummy units. I saw some 3D print stuff for some but I don't know enough about that world. I don't know who to trust or if the prices I see are for the files or a finished clone. I don't have a printer and am leery about file sharing if I got a printer.

Bro, this is what I did to my first m25 so it would clear the collar before you provided that service:

Basically allowed it to sit higher up be the area of the front sight post.

Nailed it!!

Does anyone in here have a lead on one of these M25 mounts? I've wanted to send one to Blue for a while

My take on the Gordon carbine is pretty much finished. Not sure what to do about a light but for now its done.

Painted it similar to the Heroes Under Fire painting as I read it was fairly well researched.

M4 suppressor, aimpoint 5000, and a NoDak lower finished it out. On to the next one!

Nice.

I’m about to tackle one of those myself. Going to try to get the Aimpoint super low though.

ETA: I see you did also.

This is not an awesome 2 stamp gun like a lot of you are posting, but I finished this yesterday. I think it looks fuckin' neat.

Aimpoint ACO and Surefire 6P.

Buddy gifted me a stripped Colt XM4 upper a few years ago (kingly gift), well worn, with bluish grey anno. Last year I found a complete Colt AR15A2 Carbine lower with government markings that was a DOE trade-in from a Nevada unit. The anodizing and wear matched that upper perfectly. It had a rack number stamped into the trigger guard. Since I've found a flat firing pin Colt BCG, an early Colt 14.5" M4 profile barrel that I unplugged from a surplus Diemaco upper, and an A2 rear sight kit from Amherst Depot, a 5 dollar! Aimpoint 1000, and a flea market early 6P. This one really turned out great. My dad even found a 90's Eagle Industries soft case for me for Christmas.

The only thing that isn't the real deal is the handguard and I will swap that out as soon as I can find one. I'll probably paint the fake handguard and a B5 N1 tan so this rifle can wear Hoot pants when it wants to.

Looks like it. Wish I could go back in time and get more of them. I called the dealer for some reason and they were super accommodating. I should see if I can find who it was and see what else they have.

I think I have the courage today to drill the handguard to mount the light.

It’s the tail cap more than the mount.

I remember reading somewhere (don’t quote me on it) that the pelican pressure switch was an acceptable replacement for the SF 660 pressure switch.

Hope this helps.

Mod Armory used to be the go to place for clearanced out old PEQs and PAQs. It's like 88 pages of unsorted browsing with the occasional gem.

Shark Arms gets stuff like that in occasionally as well. It’s where I got my full power PEQ-3

I pulled this aimpoint of my mk 18 mod 0 playing around with the parts for my Gordon and kinda considering using the arms mount instead of the Leopold rifleman rings. I plan to use a aimpoint pro on it leaning more towards the movie gun but would remove the riser, any constructive thoughts?

Also what’s everyone found to be the best option for a barrel? I was thinking of grabbing a current production stripped colt m4 gov profile barrel and tracking down a non F marked fsb and sending it to John Thomas to have him pin it but not sure if I’m over thinking it or this would be a bad way to go.

Best place to source a .750 non f marked fsb?

Non F marked FSB

I got a 14.5 barrel and just had D. Wilson chop and thread it to 12.7", plenty of those out there to pick up and have someone cut, thread and install the FSB for ya.
