I've only found them at Model 1 sales. Looking for other places that sell the exact same thing. Not billet.

Guntec has a billet upper I have.

A year after I had it I discovered the picatinny rail was way outta spec and they sent me a good replacement.

I think Aero also makes a slick side, but not sure on the T marks. I got mine from Model 1 Sales.

The RTB upper is ugly and has the Brunton Bump, and they're out of stock. I found one on Gunbroker like I was looking for. The Aero no forward assist works great for PCC builds. I wanted one that I could use either the rubber add-on 9mm deflector/cut down port door or run a standard port door and no deflector. Thanks for chiming in...

Gibbz makes a slick side upper, but I think the use their proprietary side charging handle that interfaces with the bolt. https://gibbzarms.com/

Rock River Arms and Model 1 Sales are the only two places you’ll find a true forged slick side upper with a provision for the ejection port door. Trust me, I’ve searched high and low over the years. I personally own both the RRA and Model 1 Sales, and they’re both good to go.

Colt does also make a true slick side forged upper with provisions for an ejection port door, but it has an A1 style carry handle... and I don’t think that’s what you’re after.

Some 9MM uppers have larger ejection ports, and many don't have a forward assist.

I think CMMG recommend larger ejection port uppers for their RDB products as well.

Of course you can also use something like a 458 SOCOM upper, which is what I did.

No feed ramps.
No forward assist.
No gas tube hole.

Yes port cover.

Aero makes a no forward assist....but it has a shell deflector...not a true slick side

Right you are. I think that is why I went with the Model1 Sales. I used Aero for the wife’s 9mm, because she can’t tell or doesn’t care about the deflector. Plus I got it cheap iirc, maybe a blem or clearance.

They do have a 9mm specific port door and gas deflector, but they are removable and standard 556 parts will drop in.

I tried Model1sales last year and they cancelled my order. I'm not sure if RRA actually had them anymore. Maybe OEM isn't the the forgings for it anymore. That's my conclusion. I went with the CMT slick side billet version and also got one of the slickside A1 for Colt smg-ish build.

This upper is in current use on a 9mm QC10 Colt form SBR lower. I really like it. The deflector doesn't get in the way, not sure why the OP needs it gone?

That plastic deflector is not just for brass. It's to keep the crap out of your face that the blowback system sends your way. It's even worse when you run a can.
