Hey guys, I'm looking to buy my next AR.  Been looking at these two.   Which one would you get? I know there are pros and cons for both. Would love to hear your opinions, esp if you've had one or even both.
Thanks

I would go SR15 if you can find one - they are very smooth shooting

Both good guns, but I'd go KAC between the 2.

SR-15 is the top of the top in the AR 5.56 world

+1 for KAC

What makes the KAC the best?  I've heard soft recoil and reliable bolt.

Very reliable & proven rifle that comes ready to go, add optic & done. Only con it doesn’t come with an LMT Sopmod stock anymore.
Soft recoil gas system
Bolt on gas block/tube setup
Basically an unbreakable E3 bolt
CHF barrel
One of the strongest Mlok rails
Best buis
Forged Ambi lower
2 stage trigger
QD end plate
Trigger guard

So it's ready to shoot suppressed?  I plan to 90% of the time.

If you have a kac can I assume. (Don't quote me)

I would definitely recommend the kac over any other AR if given the option just from durability, accuracy, and recoil all in one package.

Agree,  KAC by far is way to go...the value retention alone.  There are KAC rifles in the EE that are listed at 1.5 to 3 times the original price. not that they will sell for that, but the owners have the balls to ask that, knowing KAC rifles do hold their value.

Sofl recoil is another reason, the rifles are very smooth shooting, especially Mod 2

As far as cans go, I have used a Dead Air Sandman S and a KAC suppresser (7.62) on my Mod 2 and they both are very reliable, IMO, the KAC rifles are over gassed, I have a Mod 1 that is very over gassed

SR-15 gets my vote.

I am, however, a fan of the fully ambidextrous lowers from LWRC.

If you're alright with proprietary parts (that have virtually no chance of breaking or failing) then the KAC is probably the best setup available.

I have a handful of them and I am very happy with all of them.  Great rifles, the MOD2 is a wonderful setup.

KAC.

The M6A2 has an annoying quad rail that cannot be replaced easily, thanks to them using a 1000000000 ton press to fix the taper pins into the gas block.

Knights 11.5 CQB Mod 2 SBR is king.

With that being said, the LWRC is solid, love the lowers.

This right here is my ideal set up right here.  I'm just a little intimidated with the whole efile thing.

Don't be. It's pretty easy. Once you do one you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. IM me if you have questions I might be able to help with.

Don't do it. You'll figure out how easy it is and then you'll SBR everything you have, just because you can. Ask me how I know....

I have three LWRCi's but between a SR15 and a M6A2 I like the SR15.  If it was a M6-IC any version it would be closer.  I have a M6A2 SBR 10.5, a M6A1, and a LWRCi M6-IC2.

I am good friends with the Knights folks.  I have a standard SR15 11.5 upper with the URX 3.1 that I got from them and it is a top notch.

Buy an LMT.  Same quality.  Slightly lower price.  Same long wait.  Great dealers to work with  KAC dealers and Knights itself can be a bit squirrely to work with.  They all act like they are doing you a favor.  No names.  But many are the Soul Nazi.
