I have VTACs, Vickers, Magpuls, Ferros and BFGs
What the current hip sling to get? Was just eyeballing that Edgar Sherman one. What day all y'all? |
The Magpul and BFG fast adjustable ones for AR/AK/fast action weapons. But you don’t say what your purpose is.

I love my Edgar Sherman, it’s been on my SBR for 2 years through a few different classes now. I literally just ordered a second one last night for a new 16” build I started ordering parts for.
Perfect blend of comfort and minimalist in my opinion. |
I really love my Magpul MS1 but I heard the word on the street is savvy sniper is the hotness
I use a padded Flatline Fiber Co. sling for my AUG.
Well I was planning on making one just like that Edgar Sherman one before I even knew they existed. Amazes me what they charge for a few feet of webbing and some plastic double slides. Before I was making Proctor slings. I like the no loose tabs floating around.
ESD slings replaced all of my Proctor slings. I tried a couple of the Warrior Poet Society slings but could never get them set up just right and went back to ESD slings.

GD is like putting on crampons and walking through a room full of puppies.

i have a couple vickerd and love them but they are expensive.
I have moved to the citizen gear nekkid sling for everything that is not a SHTF Rifle. Does 90% of the Vickers for 1/3 the Money. Now that i think about it my to go rifle still has old ass blackhawk 2 point on it. not even adjustable. Guess its my funeral but i honestly think slings are overblown. get a decent 2pt and you are good to go, no need to constamtly change and keep up with the hotness |

My favorite quick adjust is still the 2 point VTAC slings.
I've also grown to like the simplicity of the Magpul RLS for carbines/rifles that I like to sling up with. |
Always been a fan of the BFG Vickers. Padded or I padded is up to the end user, although I prefer padded.

Rifles Only Carbine/Multi-Use sling.
I’ve tried many and still have a few VTAC, but after taking more and more carbine courses where I’m actually learning how to properly employ a sling, I’ve learned simple is better. Throughout a days running and shooting, I’m typically adjusting it back and fourth 150-200 times.
Things started to get better when I tried the FCD sling until I found the Tac Stitch Min-Max. Don’t think I’ll ever try another. Pull tab, minimalist, and adjusts as much as you could ask for. Stays put but slides so smooth. TacStitch |

very happy with the Ridgeline Hogleash

Arbor Arms dual adjust.

I recently picked up a few FCD quick adjust two points and I’m a fan.
VCAS is still my go to, but for any applications where I need a thinner/lighter material, I think I’ll be sticking with the FCD, although Ferro is good in this category as well. I’ve tried to like the Magpul stuff. Have an MS1 and an MS4 in the safe. They never get used, I just don’t like them. Material seems excessively heavy and all of the hardware is big and bulky. |

SierraTac / Spiritus
Red Back 1 Slingster Lunar Concepts Budget Options : Gluten Free Gear ESD I've tried every name brand sling on the market minus the SOB Tactical. The Sierratac is my current personal favorite. Redback1 would be second. |

VTAC (Viking) or Vickers (Blue Force).
Blue force gear/Vickers is the best sling, anything else is sub par.
Friend had an Edgar Sherman and hated it. Magpul slings are terrible. Probably shouldn't base your decision on what's "hot". |
Cycling through the VCAS, LBT Vtac style sling, and Trex arms. I feel the T rex is far and away more comfortable and easy to use, but I wouldn't turn down a VCAS. I enjoy the reversible slack pull.
I dig the T.Rex and Proctor slings.
ESD by a mile. The ESD is what the Proctor should have been.

I’ve tan just about everything from VCAS, VTAC, Magpul, Ares Armor Huskey Addendum, Proctor, and lately the Edgar Sherman ESD.
I much prefer the (no longer made) Ares Armor Huskey sling or the Edgar Sherman ESD. Both have ample adjustment travel, no padding, supple material, and are super smooth and fast to adjust. |
All of my rifles have one of these

I personally think that the savvy sniper quad QD sling is the ultimate combination of the best features I want in a sling. 2 or 1 point, length slider, AND a short bungee. Plus the QD or clip mount connection options.

im using the Magpul MS4 sling on my AR right now and it's great...love the quick adjustment feature

+1 for the Savvy Sniper, I love mine.
I also have two of these, and like them a lot. Arbor Arms dual adjust sling. |

I’ve been happy with the Otte Gear X Keller Modular sling. . Nice and light and single and double point in one.

Ferro Concepts Slingster or VTAC here.
For me, Vickers cuz they work.
I’ve used the slingster, vickers padded, and t rex arms. T rex for me has the easiest adjustment, stows away easier, and still offers decent padding. It’s my current favorite

Edgar Sherman Design is my favorite
Magpul are solid as are Ferro Slingsters. |

M1907. Best sling ever.

Savvy Sniper is the best.Get the Quad QD and it will do multiple configurations.

I am really digging my Magpul MS1 sling. It’s my first and only quick adjustable sling. All my other ones are fixed length slings. I was looking at the blue alpha but the Magpul was cheaper and came with the qd swivels.
