There's an indentation with the red circle. I suspect the cam pin did this. Why and should I be worried? It's in a suppressor(98% of the time) 300BLK . I estimate 300-400 rds through it both supersonic and sub, about a 50/50 mix. I don't remember any malfunctions with this rifle.

Is your forward assist sticking out?
Edit: Clearly not. Was looking at the photo without my glasses and thought the carrier had the mark but the carrier isn't even in the photo. My bad. |

Caused by the cam pin, as you guessed.
And totally normal. It will wear in to a point and then stop. |

Normal cam pin wear. It will wear to a certain point then that's all.

Weird to me bc my other ones do not have this. Thx I imagine it's possible to not have it, if your cam pin head was on the low end of the tolerance spec and/or the pin channel in the upper was on the wider end of the spec. Either way, it's not unusual or concerning to see it. |
