Diemaco Colt LE carbine. They’ve been making their way into the states over the last year or so.

Beautiful. What did it set you back?

Does that side sling adapter have the double-sided connector, the one that lets you use it on .625 or .750 barrel journeys? Or, is it strictly for the pencil barrel?

View Quote The adapter pictured is single-sided. I wonder if that adapter is made for a pencil barrel. That might be somewhat of a rarity itself if so. |

What does the barrel say? Odd the lower says 223

OP, does that lower receiver have a sear block? Also, any chance you can check the size of the hammer and trigger pins?

In the OP: ...it hard all the positives I was looking for: A2 flash suppressor, bayo lug, no sear block, .25 pins, etc. ETA: Well, guess that covers the pivot pin, not the trigger/hammer. |

To all the questions above: I was told this was a "Green Label" carbine. Standard size trigger pins, no "extra" webbing like on the 6920's and as mentioned, no sear block - that area is clear of all blocks. The barrel says C MP 556 NATO 1/7.
I honestly don't think this is part of the influx of the current Canadian rifles coming in - this AR collector said he has had this in his collection for over 15 years. |

I have to say this is a real beauty, I really like the set-up and overall impression.

First, this is a gorgeous rifle.
Please post photos of the inside of the FCG pocket of the lower and of the bolt group. As far as I know, this would not be a Green Label. Green Label guns were pre-94 and were all slabside large front pin guns. Diemaco became Colt Canada in 2005. White Label guns came after Green Label, were also pre-94, and were mostly A2 lowers (some slab side) with large front pin, a mix of 0.155 and 0.170 fcg pins, and lacked a sear block. Blue Label guns came next and were pre-94, on A2 lowers with milspec front pins with a mix of some drilled for the detent and spring and some not, with steel seat block pinned in one of three ways, 0.170 fcg pins. This gun is likely one of the very early post-94 LE market guns. |

I mean, I suppose it could be. I may have to fork over the $100 to get the Colt record for this one - even the serial number prefix has eluded all my searches. I will definitely get some pics of that area up this weekend. |

These were LE purchased directly from colt during the time of 94-04 ban. I assume the M4 USG contract made hartford too busy and production was contracted to CC? IDK. They are non-importable for civilians due to the 1989 import ban. They have been on the used market for as long time. I know of AR6721, LE6920, and AR6520 models being imported.

I called Colt Archives this morning, and they said they could tell me nothing about it - they hadn't even heard of that serial number Prefix - he just said that when it came to law Enforcement guns they just chose random prefixes lol. |

The units I’ve seen are AR6721, US made prefix is LBD, Canada is LBC. LE6920, US made prefix is LE, Canada is LEC. The AR6520, US prefix is LGC. I can only assume yours is the “standard” Canada prefix LLC.
Nice carbine. I love the 6520 (and the 6720, 6320, etc). The pencil profile barrel is sweet. |

Quite a few made in Canada Colt rifles starting turning up after Colt bought Diemaco in ‘05. I’m sure if you do a search you’ll find a bunch of old threads talking about these. 6520s seemed to be one of the more common ones. I always wanted a made in Canada 6520 but you needed to find one in the US and get it imported since Colt Canada did not sell to the Canadian civilian market at that time.

Cool. Love the 6520. Regret not adding one to my "restricted" Colt collection from right after the ban ended in 2004.

Cool gun, would love to have a Colt Canada 6520!

2021 can’t come soon enough!
Edit- well maybe 2020 wasn’t so bad after all..... |
made a mess in the front of my shorts

Very Cool gun.
Is it Grey Anodized? Those double heatshield handguards didn't come out till 1995 I believe and the N1 stock disappeared around 2003 iirc. |

Very cool rifle. I picked up 2 law enforcement trade-ins back in 2018. $650 each! But they were not Colt Canada. Mine have the large trigger pins.
Nice score! And very practical, love the light weight barrel. |
