Looking to install a Warcomp and don't want to use Rockset (difficult to remove).
Can I just grease the threads,  time the Warcomp, and torque to 30lbs?
Thanks,
Mike

Rocksett is super easy to remove.

You just soak it in water for an hour. Comes right off.

I'd use Rocksett.

The question is will you run a suppressor on it or not? If not…no need to Rockset

If you opt to not use rokset on your warcomp it will hinder its performance. I think when people do that its called a peacecomp.

I didn't either, did a 1,200 course with no problems whatsoever. You should be good since not running with a can.

Why not just use a crush washer then?

Carbon can build up between a Surefire suppressor and the Warcomp.  Surefire wants you to glue the Warcomp on so it won’t unscrew if you have a stuck suppressor.  Pity Surefire didn’t configure their suppressors with a clockwise instead of counterclockwise removal.  Then you couldn’t unscew the Warcomp.  But that’s another matter.  Rockset is relatively resistant to heat, so it’s a better choice than Loctite for this application.  As previously stated, Rockset breaks down easily when soaked in water.  If you’re not going to use a suppressor, then just secure with a crush washer like any other muzzle device.
