Got my LAT in yesterday and installed late last night. Due to the heat and recovering from a heat injury, I wont be able to go shoot it for a bit. Install was easy, using Datum retaining pins and modified Griffin 0-60-120 selector. First trigger pulls were a little gritty until I put some oil on the sear and friction surfaces I could see. Should smooth out with dry/live fire. Its like lighter single stage. Dont have a gauge to measure but its much lighter than my gen 1 disruptor. Its not a Geissele but it'll do. With my disruptor I was able to just slightly pull the charge handle to be able to fully close the upper to the lower. The LAT has some tolerance stacking in the same gun, I must use a small thin allen wrench to push the OOB safety forward to close the gun up. |

I received my oops safety selector from HG (thanks again !) a few days ago so yesterday I tried install my PD in that RRA lower. First attempt didn't work. I had dropped it in and installed the included anti walk pins but then the oops safety selector wouldn't slide in. I then took everything out, dropped the PD back in again and then seated in the oops selector before reinstalling the pins. I dropped one of my uppers on but the it wouldn't go on. I then found out about the trick of putting the upper on with a slight rearward angle pulling the ch back slightly to bring the bcg slightly rearward into the buffer tube and then it popped on fine. Testing it/dry firing all modes appear to be working so that is encouraging. I see what people meant by the trigger leaves something to be desired but if it works in this lower l won't care. It will probably be while before l can try actual live ammo test firing. It came new with the silver spring and HG also sent me a black spring with the selector. Is it worth changing out? |

Not directed at you, but at individuals who are experiencing difficulty and are absolutely certain that something is wrong: Please see our video here Link which demonstrates this technique. Re: silver spring The bottom line is that we have Disruptors with many many thousands of rounds through them with that spring. However, you will may simply want to swap to the black spring if you desire more hammer force. It certainly will not hurt. |

If anyone was wondering, I was able to install a disruptor into an LWRC M6IC-DI. It's a fully ambidextrous lower and has a second magazine release button on the left side of the lower. This additional magazine release covers the hammer pin but has a hole through it to install the hammer pin. With the included disruptor trigger pins that use the screws I was able to push in the normal magazine release which gave me the clearance to install the screw under the secondary magazine release as the hole in it is too small for the screw to fit through it. Then just install the pin from the other side of the receiver and tighten like normal. The screw head does not interfere with the secondary mag release, I tested with USGI and magpul mags an all dropped free. |

Reset triggers have show that there are a lot of very poorly tuned AR firearms in the wild. A extra power hammer spring will cover up tuning issues to some degree. |

![]() Just gonna add my 2 cents here. No luck with a Super Safety or Partisan in my PSA Gen 4 9mm AR. Tried different buffer springs and buffer weights, replaced the firing pin spring with a 5x.5x25 mm spring. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C33BBRDT?th=1 Still no luck. I would get a couple rounds off then dead trigger. ----------------------------------- I pulled the Partisan from the PSA AR9 and dropped it into a 5.56 Windham AR15 with a H3 buffer. I haven't shot it yet but expect it to work just fine. ----------------------------------- I replaced the Partisan in the PSA AR9 with a Hoffman Trigger kicker and it works! https://hoffmantactical.com/product/trigger-kicker/ I'm using the above firing spring, my bolt weight is cut, and I have this 12.5 ounch 9Q-T heavy buffer. https://heavybuffers.com/9qt.html I successfully fired off 4 x 33rd Korean mags + 1 x 17rd OEM Glock mag in FRT mode. While it would be nice to have a 3 position, this will do. |

| Huge, massive shoutout to TTC and HelpfulGuerilla in particular. They had a replacement trigger at my front door 25 hours after I gave them my order number. The new trigger dry fires correctly. I will update my initial post, and after live testing I will post my thoughts on the device itself. Their customer service receives the highest A+ grade I can give. |

I haven’t cut the bolt weight or anything. Going to try the pistol 100% stock and see if it runs. |

I bought a KVP 9mm bolt, but it didn't press the hammer down far enough to prevent hammer follow with my Disruptors. Surprisingly, the KVP bolt works OK in semi-auto only. Don't ask me to explain why - I do not know! FM 9mm bolts are the only ones I found to work in my AR9's with Disruptors in the third position. I was concerned that the latest modification to FM's bolt (with an additional forward cut in the feeding ramp to allow a short-stroked bolt to LRBHO) might cause issues for my FRT's, but it worked well, just like my older FM bolts do. https://store.fm-products.com/products/fm-products-5397-866a385f-576d-4c31-9957-4c319b7f5250 |

| So @HelpfulGuerilla and @Ben, what's next in the pipeline? I'm convinced that either the Disruptor or LAT could work with the most common pattern of AR10s (Aero, Bear Creek, DPMS) with just the smallest increase in height of the trip safety. I understand there's considerable variance in different brands, I really do, but it's so close to functioning. The trip lever is long enough to engage the bolt carrier tail when closing the receivers, but not quite sized right to disengage. |

So I pulled the standard Disruptor from a rifle that runs like a champ in both semi and FRT position to install the LAT. No Go in third position. Without having to go back and read this entire thread, what are things to look for? Third position functions just like semi. Must release the trigger for it to reset and then fire a second round. ETA... So I came upon ELittlefield's post about his hiccup with the LAT. Seems mine is having the same issue. Message sent to the G man....AKA Helpfulguerilla. |

Sent an email to the Trigger website warranty form. My test rifle, which works 100% with a Disruptor, I pulled that out and put in the LAT. Used Datum pins and griffin modified selector. Dry fire, semi was a little gritty, 3rd pos was heavy but manageable and dry fired correctly. I put a few drops of oil on friction surfaces I could see and dry fired a few days. Yesterday I noticed in 3rd position, it would no longer function correctly, just semi. Regular semi was significantly cleared up. So I took it to the range just to make sure and sure enough live fire it was either semi or short bursts and then semi. Again, a Disruptor with everything else the same in this rifle was 100% for me. To further eliminate problems, I put in the factory LAT pins and selector. Slightly longer bursts but still short and end with a a normal semi reset. Bummer but im sure the crew will get it figured out and me squared away. |

Are the kinks worked out in the current batches for sale? I bought one back in February but never got around to installing it, now I'm getting things together for a UMP Lingle FRT build and damned if I can find the Disruptor and also the safety I got from Mike. Gonna just buy a new one and as soon as I get it I'll find the old one. Call it a tax on being disorganized. I recall the original safety selectors having some issues. Safe to assume that's been fixed now? Any other issues I should know about? Also, any coupon codes working now? |

My Partisan Disruptors have a little bit of movement of the cassette body in my Spikes receivers but they have no movement in my FN receivers. All of them work correctly including live fire. Should I be concerned?![]() August 8, 2026 |

When the upper is installed, there is no resistance there, and the cassette will not move much, if at all. |

I installed a TTC Disruptor (black spring, black cassette ) today and it doesn't release the hammer, period. Lower is a PSA M4A1 lower. I've installed it and reinstalled it multiple times. Safety is correctly installed, cassette is flush with the bottom of the receiver. The trigger moves "slightly" but does not release the hammer. Ever. Not in semi, not in FRT. |

If you want one that can drop the hammer without the upper installed, and which has a much nicer match grade semi auto pull, you can always buy a LAT. If you were ever with 5th Group it is basically a must for its namesake. Just saying.

Make sure you have that full auto profile bolt carrier tail, or you'll experience the same thing when you try to shoot it. |

A lever type like the ARC-Fire, Atrius, MARC, or Hoffman Super Safety also needs the lever to be pushed forward, by the exact same mechanism that pushes the Disruptor's safety trip forward. |

The Atrius doesn't do anything vis-a-vis the trigger assembly (except the safety does it's thing in 'safe') until the upper is installed. Obviously in FRT mode the lever pushes forward when it's fired. It's a lever on the safety - dirt simple. The Disruptor is a far more complicated design. |
