I bought another SF 60 about a year ago, no issues to report. I have three of them, they all must be anomalies since they endure my kiddos endless abuse without any complaints.

I have two I bought years ago, one I've only used a handful of times, no issues.
The second one, I lent to a friend who thought it a novelty but couldn't get it to choke. He lent it to friends to try out as well, and same results. Around two thousand rounds I'm told. So my buddy and his friends, four in total, all bought a 60 or two, and last I heard they had mixed results. I guess it's a crap shoot, and I lucked out twice by the sounds of it. Good luck.

I am one of the guys that hasn't ever had an issue with these. I am not denying that there aren't any issues, but mine have been trouble free.
I will add, I do disassemble them all and Dri Film lube every thing inside. I then use a paint stir stick to feel for any follower / spring roughness , by hand. I wonder if the ammo's OAL could be an issue... I will try to check that tonight. I know Beretta Steel 30rd mags, will not function properly with Mk262ish ammo. Ball ammo, no problems. The last ones I bought were from 2021. 4 of them, all have been fine with ball ammo. |
