Just got my 14" barrel and noticed the rod that goes into the gas block is really stiff. On my 16" barrel that rod moves freely with little effort. With this one it seems stuck unless you give it a good push in. This is my first scar so not sure if thats normal. Imgur link for video of it: https://imgur.com/FyhHm7d

Shoot it for a bit and pull it to see how things are wearing. Willing to bet it's fine. The carrier slamming into the tapid piston will be hitting with more force than you're pushing.
ETA: Head on over to the FN Armory section on arfcom. A bunch of knowledgeable individuals on the SCAR rifles in there. |

Looks normal. None of my pistons move easily on my 4 scar barrel assemblies.
