Quoted: Question: Do Russian cops carry off duty? Do retired Russian cops get to keep their guns? Are there collector permits? View Quote No off duty carry for cops, and retired police don't get to keep their guns. Unless they were "awarded" separately, see above. In Russia you can normally have up to 5 shotguns, 5 rifles and 2 trauma pistols. But a collector license has become easy to get in the recent years, which gets rid of these limitations. Only thing you can't do with a gun bought via a collector license is hunt. So some people switch their guns back and forth between license types. Most guns in the country are bought via a hunting-type license, including all of mine other than the trauma pistol. |

I so wish I could buy one of those receiver sets. This thread is awesome and incredibly insightful, majors thanks to OP for creating this thread and being so open and willing to ask all of our questions. Now one question myself. Can someone who wasn't born in Russia able to own rifles and shotguns, after becoming a citizen of course, or can only Russian born citizens own firearms? Are there any firearms or accessories that Americans have that you wish you could own over there? I know I wish I could buy the ARs you’ve shown us so far. I can’t even imagine the AKs over there that we’d be dying to have. |

Other than that it's just a question of being willing to pay exorbitant prices for imported US firearms at this point. One thing I'd really like to get my hands on is the new KP-15 polymer lower by KE Arms. I'm a huge InrangeTV fan, so I really want to build my own version of the WWSD rifle that Ian and Karl created. And since the lower is a firearm according to US law, I can't just order it from a US seller. Might have to wait till some of these lowers end up in a European country with laws similar to Russia when it comes to AR lowers before I manage to get one. |

Quoted: Hey there! I live in Moscow, Russia and I've got a couple Russian-made ARs. My first rifle is a St-Petersburg-made ADAR 2-15. It's basically a no-frills milspec AR with a 16" barrel and a cheap M-Lok handguard. I've dressed it up a bit with Magpul furniture, so this is how it looks now: https://i.imgur.com/FwK7Is3.png https://i.imgur.com/AKYMm3R.png Here's a better view of markings on the side: https://i.imgur.com/p0A9BLE.jpg My other AR is a Moscow-made FORT AR-15. It's a basic AR as well, but this one has a 12,5" barrel, which is the shortest you can have because of overall length requirements. This is the carbine with the original handguard: Moscow model is going to throw a hammer pin. https://i.imgur.com/6RSbeh4.jpg I've since changed the handguard to a Midwest Industries one, and this is how I normally have the FORT set up: https://i.imgur.com/7iA93Q3.jpg Side markings https://i.imgur.com/z79rWiM.jpg A range pic with both rifles https://i.imgur.com/B2FEafx.jpg Both rifles have heavy-profile chrome-lined Molot barrels. The upper and lower receivers are supposedly Taiwanese, and smaller components probably come from China. There are companies in Russia that also make ARs and cut their own receivers on CNC's, and I'll probably show them in another post. Stock triggers were milspec. I currently have KE ARMS SLT-1 triggers in both rifles. I'd love to answer whatever questions you have, now that I've been able to join the forum. View Quote |
