I use the term "retro" very loosely here. This isn't a clone of anything, it's just for fun. But I really like it!

Probably going to swap out the rear takedown pin for a dimpled one, maybe the ejection port cover for one less ragged, but that's about it. I like it as is.

I considered a 607 stock, but this CAR stock is great, especially with the rubber buttpad.

Note: shotgun mount is made by "Armed To The Teeth Technologies" (AT4).

Hells to the yeah!  I'd start that show with some Dragons Breath shells and follow it up with some tracers into some tannerite filled watermelons or something productive like that !

Edit:  i think my description would be applicable for the Form 1 as well

This is from when I originally had it on an M16A2.

Same here! It's a confused conglomeration of retro-ish details.

That's like a "shut up and take my money" type rifle lol if that was for sale it would almost be worth the fight with the wife lmfao. But seriously that's an awesome build, I bet it would be a blast to take the range

Thank you! I originally made this as an A2 project, but found it to be too heavy, too long, and unwieldy. The full rifle stock made shooting the shotgun only possible from the hip.

But I like my new "retro" version more. Lighter, and the stock allows firing the shotgun from the shoulder as well.

“This is my rifle”…. There are absolutely none like it. Completely over the top in the best way!

That is awesome!

How is the shotgun attached to that block though, that latches onto the barrel?

The mount uses 4 bolts that screw through directly into the shotgun receiver. This is why, for this project, using the 870 with steel receiver is preferable to the M500 with aluminum receiver.

I still can't get a solid answer if it's legal to mount my super shorty under an ar. Anyone know and if so what's the best way to mount it? It's a rem version of the serbu if it matters

PSA needs to pay attention here. I think this is now on a list of to do’s.

You bring up a good point.  If the 870 was a tac 14 attaching it to a rifle gives the pistol a stock requiring it to be a SBS and needing a stamp.  If he already had a stamp for the shotgun he is fine. This all conjecture on my behalf.

The shotgun in question is my AOW.

That’s a negative on the Serbu.  You would be adding a stock to an existing AOW.

Maybe if the AR used was a pistol  with a pistol brace, then if the shotgun  being used was a Shockwave type
With birds head grip removed.
Umm, no stamps needed?

Its my understanding that if you remove the grip from the 14 inch Shockwave, its no longer a firearm and it needs an SBS stamp.

What is the barrel length on the shotgun and on the AR?

The AR has a standard 20" barrel. The M870 has a 12.5" barrel.

Wondering.
If a stock ( on AR) counts for Shockwave to be a short barrel shotgun , wouldn't/ shouldn't  the pistol grip ( on AR) keep it a Shockwave... as long as there's  no stock on AR, brace only..
Thinking out loud.
Jp.

Or is a Birds head grip classified differently from a pistol grip.
??

The issue is overall length and barrel length with stock.
Over 26" with no stock and any length barrel- good

Yeah that guy is WAY overcharging for those. Mine cost just over $1k to make. It's not really all that complicated.
If anyone wants the shorter barrel, like his, then that'll be more expensive overall, but no way will it cost over $2k, let alone $6k.
