The SN 326 Delft scope was delivered to R.W. Mc Donald (the importer for Colt) in July 1960.

Thanks John!!), Fulton hand guards, Cav Manufacturing buttstock, Toolcraft BCG. and an old Rapidex windage knob I found in my spare parts bin, and other parts from Brownells, fulton and JSE. Not 100% true to the originals, but it doesn't have to be for me to be happy. Just waiting on the front sling swivel so I can strap on my OD web sling like I have on almost every other rifle I own. https://66.media.tumblr.com/a3b3820184d292329e6ed024aa9e6e05/tumblr_pnqzjcmHUA1y7kqsmo2_1280.jpg View Quote Well done! |

I took a Brownells XM177E2 and threw a mid-length setup on it. I proceeded to strip a ton of finish off because the color was too dark and I have an addiction to polishing metals. I pretty much was trying to go for a beat up Colt 609-style, but mid-length. Love the look of barrel ending just after the sight post. I'm not done. This will likely be an evolving project. CAR-15 cheek piece, CAR-15 buttpad, Elbit Falcon MK I with ARMS mount on an ARMS #39, and a different flash hider were added. 25 round straight magazines from Brownells. Sorry the photos are grainy. I broke my camera recently. I dunno how I feel about the finish. I may parkerize it or Cerakote it in Combat Grey or even do a forced patina. I really can't decide. Attached File |
