Haven’t seen a pic thread for Radian Weapons. Mostly geared towards and Model 1 complete builds/rifles but open to Raptor Charging Handle or other parts pics as well.
This is a complete Radian I did in Coyote (Federal Drab) Cerakote with Nightforce NX8 and offset RMR. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Edit: spelling |

Just another manufacturer IMO. Market is flooded and i dont see anything from them that stands out over Noveske/bcm/MI/LMT. If bcm would stop overcharging for their ch's I wouldnt own so many raptors.

Very cool.
Radian definitely stands out above the crowd, very innovative lower. |

Quoted: I have to disagree. Yes it is another AR which is great but it is better than what you have listed. View Quote Top Tier along with LMT/KAC but also a entirely different type of rifle. Radian uses a stainless steel barrel instead of a Chrome lined one. The Radian Rifle is also not built to be a light rifle - the handguard/barrel system is quite heavy compared to other Mlok uppers. TO me...Radian Model 1 seems like more of a precision rifle than one built specifically for combat. But what do i know. I definitely do want one - really I just want that ADAC lower. |
|
Yeah I love the ADAC feature. Picked up another lower and upper chassis when they had more lowers in stock a couple weeks ago.

|
Wright Armory in Mesa Arizona is now my middle man with Coating Technologies LLC. CTL did all the plating for Robar.
The Radian is heavier than the V7 lithium aluminum lower for sure, but the A-DAC feature is worth the weight. Being able to lock the bolt carrier to the rear without breaking my firing grip is a really nice feature. It's a huge benefit in malfunction clearance drills. The proprietary bolt release and magazine release for the lower is second to none. I like it better than the Norgon kit and the Battle Arms Development/Geissele oversized bolt releases. The Radian is less sharp, so slapping the receiver to get the gun back in action hard isn't going to split you open. The keyed hammer pin is a nice feature and eliminates the need for any kind of aftermarket pin retention devices. The lower has one of those tensioner plungers in it to keep the upper and lower tight together. Newer production Radian lowers have a really nice billet slightly concaved magazine button that feels good. It's subtle, but noticeable. So buying one of these Radian lowers bypasses you buying a bunch of high dollar aftermarket parts to drop in. I know they save me money. All of the ones I've bought come with the Radian 45 degree selector. Honestly, these are better than the Battle Arms Development ones. They don't have screws and they feel just as good. Hell, they can do 45 or 90 degrees depending on how you index the internal barrel. The front take down pin is proprietary, but the rear one is a standard pin. I fully disassembled these two lowers and had all the proprietary pins and detents plated in NP3+. When reassembled, I used Brian Enos' SlideGlide. That mixed with NP3+ feels amazing. Levers and controls glide smoothly together. |

Radian vs. ADM UIC. I much prefer the radian personally. Attached File

Adac is cool, but the redi-catch works better and is an extremely easy install on any lower. I’ve sold away all of my original AXTS lowers, but kept the KAC, noveske, and LMT. I would take a redi-catch over the adac all day long. YMMV The raptor charging handles however, are awesome. We sell more of those than every other charging handle combined. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/171044/C662C764-3299-4B8A-BAAA-B6EFB08B87F0-1200803.jpg View Quote |

What kind of accuracy are you guys getting out of them? You see so few reviews of them. I seen the manager about year ago said they use Shilen barrels but I also read Lothar Walther. Either one should be awesome accuracy.

Radian, Anyway to get a Raptor-SD with RED handles? Also, will the 6.5" hand guards be available on the 3rd? I'll be putting in my builders kit order on the 3rd when the lowers are available again. Thanks!
