Probably a long shot, but I was wondering what it would take to convent a standard .223/5.56 AR-15 Upper (mil-spec) to  shoot .410 Shotgun Shells. Is this going to be a situation where you truly need an entirely new upper receiver or would switching out the BCG & barrel work? Thanks for your help. Just haven't been able to find much information about this online.

They are a thing, Chiappa make one. A drop on .410 conversion.

Finding the barrel and bolt might be problematic.

I have an ATI 410 upper and love it. Lots of fun to shoot, especially with slugs.  Their bolt carrier is completely proprietary

There should be a thread archived somewhere about 410 ARs.
